I like Skyfall. I have a few problems with it, but overall, it is quite strong. QOS....not so much....

I don't like the last three. So it really depends on what you look for in a Bond film

Not sure how much my list has changed over a year, but here's my current one — expecting it to be quite controversial. Tried to do it with as spontaneously and with as little hesitation as possible. Excuse me for LALD, since nostalgia contributes to my ranking of it in a big way.

EDIT: Ended up making a few jarring and unnatural placements that I wouldn't have made if I'd thought it out a bit more. Here's my renewed list with some actual thought put into it rather than instinctive placements.

    1. Live And Let Die

    2. The Spy Who Loved Me

    3. Goldfinger

    4. Octopussy

    5. From Russia With Love

    6. Casino Royale

    7. Moonraker

    8. You Only Live Twice

    9. Thunderball

    10. GoldenEye

    11. On Her Majesty's Secret Service

    12. Die Another Day

    13. The Man With The Golden Gun

    14. Diamonds Are Forever

    15. Tomorrow Never Dies

    16. Dr No

    17. A View To A Kill

    18. For Your Eyes Only

    19. Spectre

    20. Skyfall

    21. The World Is Not Enough

    22. The Living Daylights

    23. Quantum of Solace

    24. Licence to Kill

I went down to the local library and took out a copy of Spectre. I will tell you what I think as soon as I watch it. Today is my birthday, so I have the day off.

Absolutely love your ranking. It's considerably different to mine but that is not the point.

    Wonderful diversity.

Great to see TLD nearly where it belongs.

Haha, thank you. I'm glad my crazy views are being far more accommodated here than I expected. :)

    ranking of the year

Thanks! I had to give DR NO some love by placing it at the top. I love it's low key atmosphere.
Like Bond in the PTS, SF took a plunge, though. I still have a chip on my shoulder about that GB placement. LOL

Its not...putting the shit that is CR'67 ,which is nothing to do with Bond, level with TND,and above QOS and DAD is madness.

I usually rank it below DAD, but I thought I'd be a bit generous tonight.

Well, I have now seen Spectre. I watched it on my birthday, the 13th for the first time and then watched it again yesterday morning. I have very mixed feelings about the film, which seems to be how many responded to it. I have plenty of problems with it, but I will say that I concur with barryt007 in that it is not as terrible as some had led me to believe that it was. I respect the user Birdleson and his opinions, but having it absolute bottom seems harsh.

I am in the process of formulating a ranking right now.

@IGotTheMessage, one of them inevitably has to be at the bottom, though. I've got it locked in at #24, as well; at least you've found something to enjoy in it, too. I may not love Mendes' era, but I can still find something to enjoy in both, particularly SF as the years go by.

Alright, I have formulated a ranking. I will certainly tinker with it in the future, but this should serve as a pretty good representation of my views for now.

    3. From Russia With Love
    4. The Living Daylights

    9. Goldfinger
    10. The Spy Who Loved Me
    11. Skyfall
    12. Live and Let Die
    13. Octopussy
    14. For Your Eyes Only
    15. The Man with the Golden Gun
    16. You Only Live Twice

I appreciate the response. Like w2bond, I went back and recorded the rankings of every user who has posted since the release of Spectre and taking their latest ranking (I updated for ToTheRight's changes this morning) entered them into an Excel spreadsheet. Your ranking is in there. I am doing some statistical analysis based on the data.

    @GoldenGun

Good to hear it. I like your ranking as well. Our rankings have many similarities. We share eight of ten in our top 10's and with one of the differences, you and I both like The Man with the Golden Gun more than many do, it is just a bit more pronounced in your case. Our biggest disagreement seems to be over Dr. No.

    @w2bond

You haven't yet updated with You Only Live Twice yet. You are still one short of a full ranking. The other user without a complete list is QuantumOrganization. He is missing OHMSS. The other users who left a film out, said in a later post where they would have slotted it.

Or for that matter, simply transferring it all over to Excel and linking it somehow. Would probably be a lot easier on the eyes that way.

Yeah, I have done the work already. The information is all in Excel. If I knew how to provide a link, I would. If you would really like to have it I could send it to you via email.

We are still missing some staple users of the site though.

No worries. I didn't take it that way at all. Have no post-Spectre rankings for a number of prolific users. For example, I know that we don't have one for the user "WizardOfIce" yet. There are a number of others that I have noticed who have high post counts who are not included in this.

Basically, I have already put it into a spreadsheet so that I could do some analysis on it. The problem is just in uploading it. W2bond has done something similar as well.

I think there are several users on the boards, both new and veteran members, who simply don't do rankings for numerous different reasons. I thought it was impossible for years, did my very first one maybe two or three years back.

Apparently he's been banned, which is disturbing. I hope their was some solid thought and reasoning behind that decision. I know that he could become emotional and even somewhat volatile, but he was a sincere, well-respected and longstanding member.

My God,he was from KTBEU like me as well...what hell did he do I wonder ?

    EDIT : @Birdleson its ok,i picked the wrong one,not concentrating,he is still here .
