You don't like Jaws. Your opinion means absolutely nothing ;)

    24. The World Is Not Enough

Not too many changes. I think a Bondathon in early 2018 could mix things up a bit. ;)

Careful @Benny, if you drop OP any further, you may lose your nickname Octobenny! Excellent top three (and five!)

@Birdleson, if your top six are still

GF, FRWL, OHMSS, DN, CR and Spy

    I heartily agree with that!

Jaws is a bit boring and shite

The granddaddy of all blockbusters? The film that terrified worldwide audiences? Spielberg's first masterpiece? The film that spawned countless imitators?!!!!!

One of the greatest thrillers ever made and will always be in my top ten films.

I don't know, youngsters today, tut tut!

    (Probably loves Deep Blue Sea!)

I can't see it changing again this year, so...

    1. The Living Daylights
    2. Licence To Kill
    3. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
    4. From Russia With Love
    5. Tomorrow Never Dies
    6. Dr No
    7. The Spy Who Loved Me
    8. For Your Eyes Only
    9. The World Is Not Enough
    10. You Only Live Twice
    11. Octopussy
    12. GoldenEye
    13. Live And Let Die
    14. The Man With The Golden Gun
    15. Thunderball
    16. Spectre
    17. Die Another Day
    18. Skyfall
    19. Casino Royale
    20. A View To A Kill
    21. Moonraker
    22. Goldfinger
    23. Diamonds Are Forever
    24. Quantum Of Solace

That’s more like it, TLD on top.
    But qos....

It doesn't feel the least bit like a Bond film, though I do like the scene in the desert, where Bond leaves Greene way out in the middle of nowhere.

The first JAWS is a classic. Great cast with Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss and Robert Shaw. I always felt the shark was given just the right amount of screen time in the first one. Been decades since I've seen any of the sequels, though I've been wanting to revisit the 3rd and 4th films again. When I was little it seemed the 2nd film seemed to air quite often.

I was finally able to complete by 2017 ranking just under the gun!

    1.) Live And Let Die
    2.) Moonraker
    3.) The Living Daylights
    4.) Casino Royale
    5.) From Russia With Love
    6.) Skyfall
    7.) Licence To Kill
8.) The Spy Who Loved Me
    9.) Thunderball
10.) On Her Majesty's Secret Service
    11.) Goldeneye
    12.) Octopussy
    13.) Dr. No
14.) The Man With The Golden Gun
    15.) You Only Live Twice
    16.) Diamonds Are Forever
    17.) Spectre
    18.) For Your Eyes Only
    19.) Goldfinger
    20.) A View To A Kill
    21.) Tomorrow Never Dies
    22.) Quantum Of Solace
23.) The World Is Not Enough
    24.) Die Another Day

    A few notes
    - LALD ends MR's 3-year reign at the top. Toughest decision for me in the whole ranking.
    - LTK has rebounded. Once in the 6-8 range, it fell out of top 10 in past years, and has made a jump back this year.
    - SF has also rebounded after being 2-3 at one point, it fell to the back of the top 10. Back on the upswing.
    - Other Risers: DAF continues to steadily improve, TB and TMWTGG
    - OHMSS and GF are the most noticeable fall offs. Majesty's was 6th last year, while GF was in the 12-14 range.
    - Other Fallers: AVTAK has fallen back to the lowest Moore Bond (use to be FYEO), YOLT, GE, Spy, DN all dropped a couple ranks.
    - Connery is now the only Bond who's debut doesn't rank as the best of his tenure.

First ranking for me this year. Hated to do it, but it's split between the Cubby era and the Babs era. As solid as CR and SF is, I honestly prefer the Cubby era overall. More productivity, tradition, and re-watch-ability for me. Not to mention we had John Barry throughout.

    1. GOLDFINGER
    2. DR. NO
    3. THUNDERBALL
    4. FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE
    5. THE SPY WHO LOVED ME
    6. OCTOPUSSY/NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN
    7. ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE
    8. LIVE AND LET DIE
    9. THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS
    10. A VIEW TO A KILL
    11. LICENCE TO KILL
    12. YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE
    13. FOR YOUR EYES ONLY
    14. DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER
    15. MOONRAKER
    16. THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN

    17. CASINO ROYALE 06
    18. SKYFALL
    19. GOLDENEYE

It's dropped a few spots in the last few years in my list too, although it's still top five (just).

EDIT: @ToTheRight I can get behind your top 10. Nice to see OP/NSNA in there. AVTAK is a surprise though but I guess you're a Glen man.

AVTAK used to be my least favorite, but it's one I tend to watch fairly often and grew to appreciate more.

I'm up for a beginning of the new year ranking.

The "Any of these could be my favorite on a given day" tier:

    01. GOLDFINGER
    02. THUNDERBALL
    03. DR. NO
    04. YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE
    05. ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE

The "Wouldn't cite them as a favorite but they're still perfect" group:

    06. FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE
    07. THE SPY WHO LOVED ME

The "Great, but the flaws start showing" tier:

    08. QUANTUM OF SOLACE
    09. MOONRAKER
    10. CASINO ROYALE
    11. DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER
    12. LIVE AND LET DIE

The "more satisfying than not" bunch:

    13. SKYFALL
    14. OCTOPUSSY
    15. TOMORROW NEVER DIES
    16. GOLDENEYE
    17. THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN

    Drab:

    18. FOR YOUR EYES ONLY
    19. THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH
    20. A VIEW TO A KILL
    21. THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS
    22. LICENCE TO KILL

    No no:

    23. SP
    24. DAD

    Notes:

    - I've switched around TB and GF at the top, along with YOLT and OHMSS, for the time being.
    - The big change was LALD. Moved it up a whole tier. As a result I also took SF down a notch, simply because I'm not sure I'd call it "great" as I would the others.
    - SP moves down to the "No" tier. Didn't make it through the whole thing last time I tried.

    @ToTheRight

I am there with you. For me the older films have much more rewatchability. CR also dropped enourmously in my ranking and I still can't figure out why I can't enjoy it as much as I used to 12 years ago.
