I'm gonna do a list without seeing a Bond film for a long time (for a Bond fan).

Every second of it is a special joy for me

    1. The Spy Who Loved Me
    2. Casino Royale
    3. Dr. No
    4. Thunderball
    5. GoldenEye
    6. On Her Majesty's Secret Service

Awesome Bond films that I enjoy a lot

    7. For Your Eyes Only
    8. Quantum of Solace
    9. From Russia With Love
    10. Goldfinger
    11. Licence To Kill
    12. Live And Let Die
    13. You Only Live Twice
    14. Tomorrow Never Dies
    15. The World Is Not Enough
    16. SkyFall

Umm... It's a Bond film.. at least.

    17. The Living Daylights
    18. Die Another Day
    19. The Man With The Golden Gun
    20. Diamonds Are Forever
    21. Moonraker
    22. A View To A Kill
    23. Spectre
    24. Octopussy (I've been bullied enough about this one)

I do have a soft spot for anything 60's @GoldenGun, and I guess that was likely to show on my list!

Before this Bondathon I thought I'd have all the 60's films inside the top ten, with the exception of YOLT, which I've never been too excited about. A bit surprised DN didn't make the top ten, but it's still a really good film.

I've been finding even the lesser Cubby era films are incredibly re-watchable.
There's a magic that Cubby, Maibaum, and Barry all had.

Quite right, films like DAF and AVTAK are pretty substandard but they still have a charm to them, sometimes lacking in the lesser efforts of post-Cubby like DAD or SP.

I sometimes wonder how more often I'd pop in SP, say had Barry were still with us and been signed to score that film.

I feel pretty confident about CR and OHMSS holding my Top 2 spots. They’re as flawless as Bond films come for my tastes.

I just want to add that I consider my top 12 to essentially be my Top Ten, as the last few get pretty tight in the grouping. These 12 do stand solidly above the rest (though FYEO and LTK are pretty close).

    1. GOLDFINGER
    2. FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE
    3. ON HER MAJESTY’S SECRET SERVICE
    4. CASINO ROYALE
    5. DR. NO
    6. LIVE AND LET DIE
    7. THE SPY WHO LOVED ME
    8. THUNDERBALL
    9. QUANTUM OF SOLACE
    10. GOLDENEYE
    11. SKYFALL
    12. YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE

10 of 12 are in my Top 12, the omissions being LALD and YOLT. FYEO and LTK ironically would fill out the rest of mine.

I thought you were a big fan of LALD.

It did make my Top 10 most days, but in my last Bondathon it suffered a slide in my ranking along with YOLT, and both are several places lower now. I still like it and it may go back up someday, but it didn’t quite excite me as much as usual the last time - plus there were others that I enjoyed a lot that went past it. Could be temporary - not sure. My ranking is never too set save for the absolute favorites and least favorites.
