I only did an update a few weeks ago but in any event, after some recent viewings may be worth another go and see what occurs

    #1 Live and Let Die

and that's when it gets difficult. We know what our individual favorite titles are, but what about the rest ? It's not so easy to place the others, but just go with your feelings

#2 The Man with the Golden Gun
    #3 Dr No
    #4 Moonraker
    #5 Casino Royale
    #6 Octopussy
    #7 The Living Daylights
    #8 You Only Live Twice
    #9 Skyfall
#10 The World Is Not Enough
#11 The Spy Who Loved Me
    #12 Thunderball
    #13 From Russia With Love
    #14 License to Kill
#15 On Her Majestys Secret Service
    #16 For Your Eyes Only
    #17 Goldeneye
    #18 Diamonds are Forever
    #19 Quantum of Solace
    #20 Tomorrow Never Dies
    #21 Goldfinger
    #22 A View to a Kill
    #23 Die Another Day

should be Moore as a favorite Bond - not Dalton - is what I often think when putting together these lists ?

I don't hate it, But I think it's very overrated. I don't want to watch a movie with my favorite hero being captured and sitting on his @$$ though most of the movie though.

    HULK REPELL! :-t

I can't help it. I like TLD but it's just one of those Eh. movies. It's good for the most part but The villains are bad and the cello case sled just ruins what is otherwise a good thriller. Bond needed ski's on that Aston Martin.

To be honest I think people have always exaggerated this complaint. For one thing, Bond does more in GF than DN or FRWL when he's not in jail in the first half of the film and the last 30 minutes or so. Also, he does everything in his will to escape anyway. He wasn't even in jail for half of the movie actually.

Just rewatched TMWTGG. Some scenes had me cringing, with some of the worst scenes in the franchise. It sits very precariously in 20th place, thus it has fallen into the "poor" category

We have the same top Five, but in different order. I have DR. NO at 6. That's where we really begin to diverge, I have LIVE AND LET DIE in the # 7 spot.

My top and bottom 5 always stays about the same. It's the rest that chop and change quite frequently.

I am still keeping track of the general average here, and here is another update, (Less work for me to do one every couple of pages.) Keep in mind that the difference between many of the films is miniscule, so a drop or rise of a couple of spots are only to be expected for them all. Except DAD. That one is pretty safe.

    1 CR up from 3
    2 OHMSS
    3 FRWL down from 1
    4 SF up from 5
    5 GF down from 4
    6 DN/GE -GE up from 8
    8 TSWLM up from 9
    9 LTK up from 10
    10 TLD down from 6
    11 TB
    12 LALD
    13 YOLT
    14 FYEO
    15 TWINE
    16 OP up from 17
    17 QOS down from 16
    18 TMWTGG up from 19
    19 TND down from 18
    20 MR up from 21
    21 AVTAK up from 22
    22 DAF down from 20
    23 DAD

It is not totally representative. Some never post here, others post updates quite often, I still count all complete rankings, so it is a little bit askew. But a pretty good indication of the popularity of the diffferent films, and quite fun .

Can't we just leave it off the list altogether? ;)

Mixed feelings about this; on certain days I feel like Die Another Day is the worst Bond film, but I always put it above three others anyway because I really enjoyed the first half. My bottom 4 are really neck and neck anyway; after that I like them all to some extent.

5 Bond actors in my Top 5

    1. FRWL

    3. TSWLM
    4. TLD
    5. GE

And all 6 Bond actors in my Top 10

    6. OHMSS
    7. FYEO
    8. TB
    9. LALD
    10. SF

    (2 Connery, 1 Lazenby, 3 Moore, 1 Dalton, 1 Brosnan, 2 Craig)

I have 4 Bonds (actors) in my Top 5
    1. GOLDFINGER (1964)
    2. FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE (1963)
    3. ON HER MAJESTY’S SECRET SERVICE (1969)
    4. CASINO ROYALE (2006)
    5. THE SPY WHO LOVED ME (1977)

    2 Connery, 1 Lazenby, 1 Moore , 1 Craig

And 5 Bonds in my Top 10
    6. DR. NO (1962)
    7. LIVE AND LET DIE (1973)
    8. THUNDERBALL (1965)
    9. GOLDENEYE (1995)
    10. SKYFALL (2012)

    4 Connery, 1 Lazenby, 2 Moore, 1 Brosnan, 2 Craig

Sometimes Dalton (who is a great Bond, no where near my least favorite) sneaks into the 10 spot with THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS, but that one has currently dropped to 15. LICENCE TO KILL os at 13.

Mine's pretty diverse you'll find in my Top 10: 2 Connerys, 1 Lazenby, 2 Moores, 1 Dalton, 1 Brosnan, 3 Craigs (ok maybe besides the last part):
    10. Live and Let Die
    9. Quantum of Solace
    8. Licence to Kill
    7. Dr. No
    6. GoldenEye
    5. The Spy Who Loved Me
    4. Goldfinger
    3. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
    2. Skyfall
    1. Casino Royale

At least all 6 Bonds are in my Top 10.

i think some of the biggest changes for me is TSWLM and OP jumping up higher on my list..... I've always liked both films, but I've gained a new found respect for both - especially OP....

TB dropped a little - I still really like it, and I still hold it in high regard - it's just the pacing at moments during the middle of film feels too slow.... still an amazing Bond film though by my standards...

TWINE has dropped a few spots as well... again, as time goes on I find the attempt at melodrama in this film boring, and i think it really slows the film, especially since it's something that really has no pay off.... I'll still throw it on on occasion, but not as often as the others...

and of course the bottom 2 rarely ever get play time by me - but when I do, it's either to to fall asleep to (TMWTGG) or two laugh at and make fun of (DAD)..

I'm happy to say that I have at least one film from each actor in my top ten. With such a long running series it would be a bummer if there was a whole chunk of films that you didn't like. I'm grateful that I have been able to appreciate each actor's take on the role and enjoy the different styles of films that we've been given throughout the years.
3 Connerys (DN, FRWL and GF)
    1 Lazenby (OHMSS)
    2 Moores (TSWLM, FYEO)
    1 Dalton (TLD)
    1 Brosnan (GE)
    2 Craigs (CR, SF)
