Some thoughts going through it again:
- Skyfall's placement was difficult, I was playing with it all through the top 8.
- Daylights and OHMSS I can never really decide on. I prefer Dalts to Laz, so that pretty much was the deal breaker for me.
- Tomorrow Never Dies is the second Bond film I remember watching - my parents were searching for a computer many, many years ago, and TND just happened to be playing on one of them. My youngster self took immediate interest and nearly watched the whole thing. It has stuck with me ever since, though I'm well aware of its shortcomings.
- Rankings 13 to 17 is very fuzzy. Could put those in nearly any order and I'd feel alright with it.
Nice to see ya around again @SJK91
Top quality films!!!:
01 --> 9.5/10 --> 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service'
02 --> 9.3/10 --> 'From Russia With Love'
03 --> 9.0/10 --> 'Skyfall'
04 --> 8.8/10 --> 'Casino Royale'
05 --> 8.3/10 --> 'Thunderball'
06 --> 8.0/10 --> 'For Your Eyes Only'
Good films!:
07 --> 7.6/10 --> 'Doctor No'
08 --> 7.5/10 --> 'Octopussy'
09 --> 7.4/10 --> 'The Living Daylights'
10 --> 7.1/10 --> 'Licence To Kill'
11 --> 7.0/10 --> 'Goldfinger'
Average films:
12 --> 6.7/10 --> 'The World Is Not Enough'
13 --> 6.5/10 --> 'The Man With The Golden Gun' (+1)
14 --> 6.3/10 --> 'Quantum Of Solace' (-1)

16 --> 6.0/10 --> 'Live And Let Die'
17 --> 5.7/10 --> 'Never Say Never Again' (non-EON) (-2)
Fun stuff for Bond nerds, but as a standalone film bad and sometimes even groce!:
18 --> 5.4/10 --> 'Moonraker' (+1)
19 --> 5.1/10 --> 'Diamonds Are Forever' (-1)
20 --> 4.8/10 --> 'Tomorrow Never Dies'

22 --> 4.2/10 --> 'GoldenEye'
23 --> 3.4/10 --> 'A View To A Kill'
24 --> 2.8/10 --> 'Die Another Day'
25 --> 1.2/10 --> 'Casino Royale' (non-EON)
Ah! Another Moonraker-lover!
1.) Moonraker
2.) Casino Royale
3.) The Spy Who Loved Me
4.) From Russia With Love
5.) The Living Daylights
I figure that combination is pretty rare amongst Bond fans :)
I'll say! Props for diversity man!
Doesn't discredit their opinions or anything. I'm happy to see some MOONRAKER love around these parts.

Obviously, I enjoy the Craig/Dalton interpretations of Bond the most, maybe because I feel the character has more depth. However, I think they all have their place, depending upon what mood you're in, and I think Roger would be the most entertaining and generous Bond actor in person.
Welcome to the boards! Interesting to see you place all 3 Craig films on top - especially Quantum at #3. We seem to enjoy a lot of the same - CR, SF (same Top 2), GE, OHMSS, LALD, LTK, etc. Can't complain at all about your bottom five!
Except I did see it at the cinema in 1979. And loved it at the time.
I watch a lot of YouTube vlog reviews and Moonraker has a lot of nostalgia support. Being the top grossing Bond film to that point with the Star Wars craze, most middle aged Bond fans have Moonraker as their first Bond. Most vlogs I watch state that MR was the first one they saw in theaters.
You've no sense of fun at all. :))

I must say that I'm not sure about LALD and LTK... And I haven't seen QOS for quite a while.
And: I am one of those strange persons who likes DAD and hates OHMSS... :)
Good God yes, I did see it in the cinema on release. My sister took me and I remember thinking exactly what you say 'Well I can only assume form here they will make them bigger, funnier, more ridiculous.' I was simply dreading Bond 12.
We got back to her car and it had been broken in to. It topped off a miserable day.
I don't mind MR now, as I see the bigger picture and how the series has developed and changed over the years, but at the time I was a very worried Bond fan.
Sorry to hi jack this thread - I have never ever put the films in any sort of order - I find it simply impossible. Hats off to you lot for doing so. ;-)
You must have found it ironic then that the next film also featured a car being broken into ;)
Haha, yes. Although ours didn't explode.
Minus TMWTGG and TWINE I like your Top Ten, as different as ours are.
@mirandafrost, I love your list!
;)
I'm very respectful of almost any and all opinions, but I'm afraid I am taken aback by your including TWINE in the top 10 (and almost top 5!). That tragic-comic debacle shall surely be at the very bottom (stomped) of my list when I do my next Bondathon.
OHMSS is not for everybody so I can understand. DAD is a guilty pleasure for even fewer :)

I don't even hate Richards. I just hate the writing in the film as well as the morbid, drab, lifeless, and melodramatic direction.
@chrisisall as a fellow Brosnan supporter I feel your pain. You're just doing your job. This is the one film I can't go on record defending, unfortunately. I'm sure I'll pop up elsewhere to defend TND and DAD though :P
