Are you a writer of fiction, a composer of music, a poet, a painter, a photographer, a visual artist, a model builder, ...? This is the thread where you can talk about it, share some with us and receive much deserved congratulations. :-)

Looking forward to that, @StirredNotShaken! :-)

@retrokitty, that is a great drawing! :-) Wow. I'm impressed. Do you do this professionally?

Well, as many here know, I am an artist most prominently, and more of a secondary writer. I am majoring in both disciplines in college at the moment and am trying my best to balance between my drawing and my writing. Since I returned to campus I have done a few recent short stories for a writing class, and used to do a lot of espionage fiction, all of which I hope to edit and post at a later date for those that wish to read them.

I have a thread here on MI6 for collecting my art, almost as a second back-up location, and also for anyone to inquire about my art and give me any feedback they wish:

    http://www.mi6community.com/index.php?p=/discussion/3050/0bradym0bondfanatic7039s-art-thread/p12#Item_339

I also have a deviantart page, where I collect every piece of art and writing I have done in the last two years or so, dating from my old blu-rays to my more current digital pieces where I pencil a drawing first, scan it into my laptop, and then ink and color it in GIMP. There are plenty of pieces there that don't make it to my thread on this forum, like some work in progress pieces I did that show my artistic process, and take you through the steps of how a rough pencil drawing becomes the final piece you see. I have also done some Sherlock Holmes reviews of Doyle's stories that are posted, and I plan to submit some of my new writing on there when I can, and my older pieces when they have been revisited and properly revised. You can view all that and more here:

I have said it before and I'll say it again, you really have a talent, @0BradyM0Bondfanatic7! I'm jealous of such a talent. I've never understood how one can draw like that. Even if I try to draw something as simple as an apple or a flower, I fail miserably. I bet my apples look more like Justin Bieber than they do like apples. ;-)

I used to do classical singing. I used to do acting. I do write crime fiction in my spare time, when I'm inspired and disciplined enough. I also wrote a pretty good Jack O'Lantern story. Basically my take on the legend.

Your page is great and we share at least two passions, friend. Congratulations for your work and go on with it!!

By the way, I´m a film critic and I´ve also written three studies about three different films: Goldfinger, Star Wars and Miller´s Crossing.

    I make stuff. Also accurize.
Here's a Corgi Bond car that I added turn signals & mirrors to:

Here's a Star Trek V/VI phaser I made from scratch:

Here's some Battlestar Galactica lasers from kits- they weren't great, but I made 'em so:

Here's a Robot I made light up & talk for a client (the non-lit one on the left is mine from way back):

This is the Freedom from Armageddon, the kit was horrifyingly bad, but I changed that:

Here's a Firefox I cobbled together from airplane model parts & epoxy putty a few years ago:

Thanks for the comments, guys. I do not draw professionally. It's really hard. But I love it. Puts me in "the zone".

And it's not a self-portrait... oh how I wish. That said, I think it may make a nice avatar. :D

I'm certainly glad I didn't post this one first.

The one of Jimmy Braddock above and the first one posted took me hours.

These next ones are sketches only and took under 30 mins.

Very versatile, @Ludovico. :-bd I'd like to read your stories, starting with the Jack O'Lantern. But I also enjoy crime fiction. Any links?

I write; I've got a basic talent for it - but haven't done anything professionally with it yet. Haven't really tried. But I enjoy writing, yes. So nothing published nor any finished product to share ... except one children's story for a picture book. It is the only children's story I have written; that is not what I usually like to write. It is set in Japan and based on my personal experiences with a grumpy elderly neighbor; we ending up being real friends, even though he did not speak English and I (still) do not speak Japanese. Quite short text as meant for a picture book, but I do not draw so I do not have a mock up (you are free to use your imagination, though). :)

Kitty: that is a perfect avatar for a Bond site! Well done indeed.

@ggl007, thank you very much, my friend, and I will be sure to keep on it! :) I will have to give your film writing a look as well, namely the Goldfinger piece. I write film and book reviews too, though unprofessionally. If I see a film or book I love or that I feel it would be cool to write about, I will do it. I have done both personal writing and some for assignments that feature film and literary criticism, and I feel you really learn more about a piece of work by taking the time to analyze and write about it, especially if you are passionate about the subject. Do keep at it yourself, mate. :)

Great stuff @retrokitty. For someone who doesn't draw professionally, you aren't too shabby. ;)

Nice modeling as well, @chrisisall. You and @Murdock are definitely the Qs of this Bond forum, needless to say! :)

@Ludvico, I would also love to read your writing. I remember you talking about that Jack O'Lantern story a while ago, and expressed my interest in giving it a read. You could post it near Halloween, since that date is fast approaching, if you are willing to do so.

I thought about giving the link on the Halloween thread this year, but as it came up here and two people are asking for it, here are the links to the tale of Jack O'Lantern on my blog:

    http://vraiefiction.blogspot.co.uk/2011/10/legend-of-jack-olantern-part-1.html

    http://vraiefiction.blogspot.co.uk/2011/10/legend-of-jack-olantern-part-2.html

I wrote another tale the next year. As for my crime fiction, I did not publish it anywhere on the internet, I do not want to self-publish but eventually to publish them. I have five short stories written right now, of various quality, a sixth one that would need a good afternoon work to be finished.

Seconded, fantastic Kitty! You have serious talent :). I think I had her! Or something pretty darn close :P

If I can ever figure out a way to convert my band's demo cassette from the 1980's, of which I wrote every song and co-wrote the other, I'd put our opener "Stuck On You" here for all to listen. Balls out 80's metal, and I was much more influenced by the British bands like Priest and Maiden than the West Coast, although Seattle's Queensryche and Florida's Savatage were also bands who also rated high with me.

I'm excited to read these. I love reading the writings of the members here AND Halloween is my favourite holiday!! Thanks for sharing.

SirHenry... you must get the music up. And a pic of you with big hair from the era! :P

Keep writing and posting, everyone. One of my favourite pastimes on the old site was reading the writings of the the amazing and prolific members. I'm hoping to catch up with all the stories here once the weather turns dark and cold again. For now, I'm off to find a nice deck and sit in the sun!

Your drawings are superb, my brother has a similar talent though does not do it professionally. Very much a personal thing for him, i often tell him he should pursue it. I understand why he does not, what strikes me about your drawings is understanding of the emotion you are wishing to convey.

Kitty, just wondering, did you use a model for the beautiful woman or does it come from your imagination?

@DarthDimi, I use a photo for the larger and more detailed portraits. I've only done a few sketches from imagination or memory.

The one of the nude was January Jones from a Versace ad. My fashion illustration teacher asked me to do it as one of my final pieces of the course. She really wanted me to explore my graphite work even though I was there to learn fashion water colour painting. :P

Here is the original photo next to the graphite one. (I didn't include her leg in the graphite portrait as it looked odd.)

    january-jones-versace_290x435.jpgNudeshoesmall_zpscbbd28a4.jpg

The whole campaign is great really but I can't find a page with all of them. Just google image search for January Jones Versace to see more.
