1. GE- Perfection.
2. TND- a mid-shoot trim compromised continuity, but they covered it with a shower scene.
3. TLD- flowing locks & solid sideburns.
4. TMWTGG- not too dark, not too short or long.
5. TB- best toupees in and out of water.

I'm not sure I can say anything Connery. The sideburns and toupee always bothered me.

1: The Living Daylights - If there's one thing Dalton got right, objectively, it was that he looked the part.
2: On Her Majesty's Secret Service - Ditto to my argument for #1.
3: The World is Not Enough - I really like Brosnan's hair here. I don't think he ever looked as good as Bond as he did here, and the hair is part of that too.
4: The Man with the Golden Gun - Moore had some pretty bad hair days after this. He looked great here.
5: Casino Royale - Craig's casual cut suits the inexperienced Bond in my opinion.

Yes, that cut was nice & clean, not too short as it was in parts of DAD (disregard the prisoner transfer scene), but it lacked some of the 'character' it had in his previous two outings as Bond IMO. More 'banker' than Bond, but then, that was his initial cover.

  • 1. Dr. No/From Russia With Love - It's still mostly Connery's actual hair, so the dodgy toupee syndrome that would be a problem from Goldfinger onward had yet to manifest itself.
    2. Tomorrow Never Dies - Just the right length - for me, that is. In all seriousness, it was a bit too long in GoldenEye (do like his suits, though), a bit too short in The World is Not Enough, and a bit too gray in Die Another Day. This version is the golden mean.
    3. The Living Daylights - Unlike the sometimes disastrous Licence to Kill, Dalton's hairdo has the perfect mix of classic and eighties, and hides his receding hairline well.
    4. Casino Royale - Quantum of Solace is close behind, but Craig looks its best here. I don't mind his shorter cut in Skyfall either, but this cut also makes his eyes look better for some reason.
    5. On Her Majesty's Secret Service - The sideburns are a bit too long, but other than that the Lazenator is nearly perfect. Much like the movie is nearly perfect except for him.

A worst hair thread would be quite entertaining too. Of course, it would be pretty easy to predict. You Only Live Twice, Diamonds are Forever, Never Say Never Again, Licence to Kill...all the hits.

Moore's hair was atrocious in his last three outings as Bond, those would probably all make the worst list.

I'm hit and miss for LTK tbh, I don't think it's a big offender except when he's at the casino in Isthmus City. For a lot of the movie it's not that different from his TLD style.
  • I don't think For Your Eyes Only was that bad, but the last two were horrendous, I agree. Licence to Kill might not be that bad as a whole, but the casino scene is just so awful.

Agreed. But then I'm a big Dalton fan.

As am I but his hair was definitely a LOT better in TLD.

Watch the MI6 scene again for FYEO. The hell is with the back, bottom curl he has going on? Is it 1752 or something? Is he off to see a Bach concert?

He was doing 'sleazy-creep' for the cover in LTK...

In this picture here I'd guess circa 1983 It looks like Roger's hair it's thinning so he most likely wore a toupee for his final 3 films.

I'm not really sure about this, if you watch the scene with Bond and Melina emerging from the sea following being towed by the boat, I'd say it would have to be a pretty damn good wig but then who knows?

I don't think Rog wore a toupee. If I recall correctly he started getting a bald spot in the back of his head so he grew his hair out longer to cover it up. I also remember him mentioning that they spent a long time trying to thicken his hair.

I'm not sure about the top five but Pierce certainly had the best hair out of all the actors. At least there's one category where I rank him at the top!
  • I believe I read on here that Rog had to wear some kind of hairpiece for A View to a Kill. It was certainly no Connery-style toupee, but they did have to cover some bald spot up.
