Get her onto Octopussy @Birdleson. I'll always welcome a new member to the OP fan club ;)
TB is a fube film. Gotta lot of appreciation for it. She's got fine taste mate.

I actually like TB because of its pacing. And it's one of the few Connery films where "not killing Bond" makes perfect sense: Fiona makes this case, and she's right. The dialogue in TB is exceptional, too. TB features two great one-liners:

"I know a little about women" and "Some men just don't like being taken for a ride." (I'm on a Bond site, so no need to place these in context.)

I love the post-coital tension between Bond and Fiona, and the crack in her voice, after Bond tells her that what he did was for king and country. You can tell, despite the fact that she did it out of duty, too, that it did still mean something to her. This scene is brilliant.

I love Vargas as as a henchman. "What do you do, Vargas?"

The Junkanoo festival works as an interesting backdrop (as does all of the Bahamas), and the chase scene, into the Kiss Kiss Club is rather tense, despite that horrible fake blood.

The flight scene, where the NATO plane lands in the Atlantic is also well-done, considering the mid-60s limits on special effects.

Barry's sooundtrack (as usual) is great. I love the "moving the body" theme.

Yes, the speeded up boat is rather ridiculous, but it comes at the very end. I can live with it.

Don't know where to ask, so I'll ask here: my mother wants to watch a Bond film with me tonight. She said: either a Moore or a Brosnan outing. Which film of their's should I put in the blu ray player? :D

    TND, definitely.

Sorry @chrisisall, me and my mom watched GE. :) Brosnan is her favorite Bond so she loved it, and so did I. I never tire of watching this outing, it has so many epic scenes like the PTS, tank chase, Bond vs Janus fight, casino scenes, etc.

GE is easily the best film of the era. Superior story, superior direction, superior cast, superior action set pieces (although TND comes close here), superior cinematography etc etc etc.

I've even come to appreciate Brosnan's tentative performance. It lends an air of authenticity to the performance and makes his romance with Natalya much more believable and engaging.

Yes the beach scene is the only part of GE I don't like. Apart from that I really like Natalya and had a crush on her since I watched the film for the first time.

    Certainly not the beach scene.

Yeah that bit is real soggy but I really like their relationship overall. I think she's one of the best Bond girls in the series and they have great moments together.

She is my favorite Bond girl of the Brosnan era by a fair margin. But in my Bondathon a few weeks ago I was surprised that I wasn't as irritated by Paris, Christmas and Jinx then I used to be.

Wai Lin is the best Bond girl ever (just my personal opinion, of course).
Aki is the sweetest, Solitaire is the prettiest, Domino is the sexiest, Goodnight is the dumbest, Jinx is the most irritating.

If Jinx knocked on my door and told me it's a matter of national emergency that we feast like there's no tomorrow, I would certainly not say no to her ;)

The Honey Ryder homage in DAD was very stupid IMO but in all fairness from the neck down Jinx has a killer body. Lets hope she doesn't go Vampire mode in real life during the act like she did on poor old Brozza.

How old was Arterton in QOS?

EDIT: 22. So I'm just 2 years older than she was 7 years ago. 8->

Okay, exactly 1 month ago I watched DAD, had the time of my life with it. It's much like Superman III in that the star gives a GREAT performance whilst the film around him in general severely tests your patience.
B-) Except that DAD is WAAAAY better.
