Diamonds Are Forever
Despite the reputation for being the beginning of corny, campy Bond movies (although technically that right should go to Goldfinger, but whatever), I have always rather enjoyed the seventh Bond outing in every respect. Let's face the facts- it is just too much fun to resist! The villains are outrageously outlandish, the soundtrack from Barry is simply remarkable, Sean Connery re-sparked his Bond energy after his terrible performance in YOLT, and did a fine job with it too, as it is one of his best, in my opinion. You've also got wonderful location work and even some nice action pieces like the elvator fight and the Las Vegas car chase with the Mustang. All in all, I'm proud to call DAF a top-ten favorite of mine, even if it does lean towards the cheese side of Bond!

After a busy week of school, I needed to chillax and watch my most favorite James Bond film. So I broke out my Airsoft PPK and relived my childhood once again.
Casino Royale
I didn't like this any more or less than I did the last time I watched it. Craig's Bond still displays all the charm and personality of a russian multi story car park.* The dialogue has not improved since the Brosnan films, and with some lines, it's gotten worse.

I still really like this. It's Moore at his best, there's his usual one liners and comedy, but also a serious story underneath, the bit where he's trying to stop the bomb is so tense it's unreal. The one thing that lets it down is the stupid sound and sight jokes in the jungle chase or at the tennis, otherwise it could be Moore's best film.

What needs to be said about this?, saw it last night as suggested, and it's still a good watch here and there, but the over emphasis on humor at certain stages just ruins it for me sometimes. a Quite brilliant pre credit sequence as Bond dives around the sky in his Acrostar Jet, and the theme tune is one of the better entries of the last 30 years, but it really lets itself down here and there, but honestly, I feel I've been too hard on it in past reviews. Sure, it's a nonsense every now and again, Moore plays the fool, not for the first time, or the last, shouldn't have even been 007 by 1983, but in his defense, every now and again he does seem plausible at times, and with the train ride through the now defunct West Germany, it's almost classic Bond. One of my favorite sequences of the whole movie

Certainly a very energetic and pumped-up thriller from start to finish, with a wild, psychadellic '70s groove that makes the movie explode with classic appeal. Whether it is the handiwork of George Martin's soundtrack, the comic and suave genious of Roger Moore's debut 007 appearance, the outlandish lot of brilliant villains, or the varied location work ranging from urban New York to Caribbean San Monique, LALD will offer you a mixed bag of everything you need for a funky, colorful Bond movie. It might be more low-key and down to earth when compared to, say, DAF and TMWTGG which come prior to and after LALD, but this actually helps keep the series varied and gives us a fresh perspective on it. As of now, it is a top ten place holder, without a doubt.

Every time I have watched this one recently, it has just gotten better and better! I used to dislike it, finding it pretty slow, boring, and cheesy. Now, however, I really like it to be honest! The locations are just incredibly marvelous, Roger is in excellent form in both wit and brutality (a rare case too), Christopher Lee steals every scene he is present in as Scaramanga, and the action is not half bad! The only action scene I dislike is the corny boat chase, what with the little kid selling the statue elephant and JW getting knocked into the water by a real elephant. Aside from that, the action is really enjoyable for me! I can see where people would have serious disdain for the ninth Bond movie, but I for one actually like this one more than the majority of fans!

I'd say this was better than TND. The main drawback was that sone of the action sequeences were too long but the overall plot was very good. The idea of the woman being the main villian was great since we all know how Bond hates being betrayed by a woman.
Now I know why I don't remember Robert Carlyle in this movie. He's barely recognizable with the lack of hair and the accent. However, he is great as the henchman. Rernard's reaction when he learned that Electra was dead was priceless.
I loved how Zudosky essentially saved Bond.
Again M has more of a role in this film but it maies sense based on the fact that she recommended that King not pay the reanson for his daughter.
I think Denise Richards gets a bad rap as Christmas Jones. Sure she's not the best Bond girl but she's certainly not the worst. Based on her talent, she did a pretty good job.

I've already started and watched FRWL and GF. Great movies that I personally rank very high. FRWL is definitely my favorite Bond and is on my top 10 of all movies.
Regarding GF, I think I understand why so many people here hate it (is slow paced and with little action, it has huge plot holes and very stupid moments) but I think I will always appreciate it big time because it was the first one I saw and I can forget those classic moments it has.
I've been thinking about doing a mini Bondathon with my favorites in order: TB, CR, DN, GF, FRWL, OHMSS.
