Oh, I hoped that it might have been. I'm not a memorabilia expert. Any idea where one could get one of these then?
    I hope you've been saving your $ ;)

There's another one on ebay for slightly less- just linking this one as it shows the gun disassembled.

Well, not that expensive! Though I suppose you have to pay up for great craftsmanship such as this. As I said earlier, I'm not a memorabilia collector as such.

I think that the golden gun was a huge missed opportunity back in the 70's when you could sell toy guns to kids. They could have made them on the cheap and it would have been an awesome toy to have. It would have been a decade ahead of it's time by being one of the first "transformer" toys.

I was under the impression that this was one of the few toys available for that film as merchasndise, though it was just something like a cap gun painted gold. I could be wrong though, as I need to do more research on this area.
  • A blowup doll of Honey Rider anyone? ;-)

How there hasn't been a Bond-brand condom over all these years, I'll never know.

But there was. They were sold as a tie-in to DAD in 2002. Didn't work out too well though. Was full of holes...

An interesting factoid there. I didn't know that, @WillyGalore. I remember seeing in a Bond TV special from 1997 for TND that surprisingly James Bond themed condoms had never been brought out. I think perhaps that it said that they were barred from doing so, or something to that effect.
