  • Well, folks, after one of our closest matches yet we have a final score of 236-207 in favor of GoldenEye! A great round for two great films. Truth be told, I was worried GE would lose and then I'd have to give TWINE a real easy match against Moonraker or something.

On to our next bout, which features two Bond movies that MI6 seems to love, but which I, truth be told, think are overrated (but still worthwhile) in Thunderball and The Living Daylights!

    PTS: TLD
    Title Track: TB
Title Credits: TB (neither is particularly inspired)
    Main Villain: TB
    Main Bond Girl: TLD
Overall Plot: TB (TLD is just too complicated)
    Dialogue: TLD
    Score: TLD
Settings: TLD (never understood the praise lavished on Afghanistan, but it's still more varied than just the Bahamas, beautiful though they may be)
    Action: TLD
    Humor: TLD
    Cinematography: TB
    Benign Bizarre: TB
    Suspense: TLD
Minor Characters: TLD (good old Kamran Shah)
    Glamor: TB
Ally: TB (Felix vs. Felix, Kamran Shah is under minor characters)

9-8 for The Living Daylights! Fitting as it beats Thunderball 11 to 14 on the Bond ranking.
