Title Track: Dr. No (Seems like blasphemy to vote for anything over the classic Bond theme)
Title Credits: Dr. No (Something unique about the flashing shapes and colors before years of girls and guns)
Main Villain: Dr. No (One of the classics)
    Main Bond Girl: Dr. No
    Overall Plot: Dr. No
    Dialogue: LTK
    Score: LTK
    Settings: LTK
    Action: LTK
Humor: LTK (I know it's considered one of the most humorless Bond movies, but thinking about it, Wayne Newton's antics, Bond's interactions with Q, a lot of the one-liners . . . LTK is darker but still has some of the funniest comic relief of the series)
    Cinematography: LTK
    Benign Bizarre: Dr. No
    Suspense: Dr. No
    Minor Characters: LTK
    Glamour: Dr. No
Ally: LTK (I've been thinking this for a while, but really this category should be "allies." Plural. Felix Leiter & Puss Feller & Quarrel vs. Felix Leiter & Sharkey & Q. Q as an active ally is the tie-breaker for me here.)

    License to Kill: 9
    Dr. No: 8

As close to a tie as you can get. Not just by final scores, but by the split decision I had to make in a lot of the categories. Never realized how closely the two films matched when weighed by the elements before.

Title Track: Dr. No (close one....... jk)
    Title Credits: Dr. No
    Main Villain: Dr. No
Main Bond Girl: Dr. No (not even close, but I do like Pam)

    Cinematography: Dr. No
    Benign Bizarre: Dr. No

Minor Characters: Dr. No (actually close here)
    Glamour: Dr. No

15-2 Good lord. I like LTK quite a bit. I think the films are somewhat similar in their "low key"-ness and DN just edges it in about every category. That's my justification for the beating, although I do prefer DN.

Kind of surprised that it was that close, actually, but LTK still wins it pretty easily, seeing as how it's my favorite film in the franchise.

Both pretty much equally epic- perhaps LTK appeals to me a tad bit more. Let's see...

Title Track: LTK (I'm in the minority here who really like this theme in general)
Title Credits: LTK (DN playing snake with the gun barrel dots is cool though)
Main Villain: LTK (I am loyal to Franz)
Main Bond Girl: LTK (Honey is prettier and has a more fleshed out background, but Bond girls who can handle their own are more appealing to me)
Overall Plot: TIE (seriously cannot decide between the two)
Dialogue: DN (tough decision, but Bond's banter with No beats his conversation with M at Hemingway House)
    Score: LTK
Settings: DN (even though I'd love to go to Florida and Mexico, I'll move to the Bahamas one day...)
Action: LTK (fishing for planes, water skiing behind planes, jumping onto vehicles from planes- when it comes to action, it's plane to see why LTK soars above DN)
Humor: LTK (we gave her a nice honeymooooooooooooooooon)
    Cinematography: DN
    Benign Bizarre: LTK
Suspense: DN (redshirts tracking Bond and co. at Crab Key, spider scene, Mr Jones reaching for his gun, dragonsh)
Minor Characters: DN (Dent, Taro, Jones, 3 Blind Mice all great, but I do like Dario & Prof. Joe, bless his heart)
Glamour: DN (No's lair springs to mind- you were wondering what it cost?)
    Ally: LTK

    LTK: 9 / DN: 6 / 1 tie

A 10-7 victory for GoldenEye! A bit wider than I'd have thought, since they're at 5 and 6 on the old Bond ranking, but a close fight nonetheless.

I have a question . Who is the main Bind girl in SF? Both girls had little screentime. I prefer Severine to Natalya (Severine is actually my favourite Bond girl) but if it's Moneypenny (who was wooden and had crap chemistry with Craig imo) then Natalya wins by far for me.

@WillyGalore 17-0, really? Come on. I can think of at least one category which GE definetely wins in by far: action (bungee jump, tank chase, archive shootout, the finale, nothing in SF is on the same level). To each his own I guess. Anyway

I think some people are being biased now (some in favour of GE and some in favour of SF).

For all those who are voting 17-0 or 17-1 to GE, try to look past your nostalgia for Goldeneye and look at things objectively. I love Goldeneye too and prefer it to Skyfall but there is stuff SF does better (I don't see how anyone could say GE has better cinematography for example).

Same goes for the people giving landslide victories to SF. You might not like the Brosnan era but try to look past that and look at things objectively. There is stuff GE does better (I don't see how anyone could say that SF has better action for example).

While I enjoy GE as a good 007 installment I gladly walk away when SF is around. SF is vastly overrated visually it looks nice but is nothing special. Whereas GE imho has everything that I want in a 007 movie.

SF is the2nd attempt in which Craig does not get a better movie as his 1st. I am not full of confidence when it comes to the next one.
