That teeth dropping sounds so creepy to me. Can’t wait for the trailer, will hopefully drop by the end of June.

I wonder who gives him his mask? Just an asshole taunting the prisoner...?

Perhaps it’s part of his “effects” and they get taken with him as he’s in a prison transport, donning it after he escapes.

Twenty bucks says it's some young little shit who's part of the film crew, who clearly didn't do his homework-- and has no clue who he's fucking with! :))

*Edit: Actually, based off the chain of events from the trailer, it's probably that guys teeth....

I know it's 'the internet', but even if it's fake, I can still at least imagine her saying it!

    http://bloody-disgusting.com/editorials/3497812/30-years-of-not-so-new-blood-a-look-back-friday-the-13th-part-vii/

It might be the most heavily cut film in the series, but The New Blood is still one of my favourite Friday films, and from time to time, is my favourite film in the series. Tina is my favourite final girl of the series (Lar Park Lincoln has aged like a fine wine, I would not be against an older Tina crossing paths with Jason again). Also, the scenes where Tina fights back against Jason, are made all the more better by having a stuntman-by-trade (Kane Hodder) play Jason.

I see there's a report via an Instagram from Robert Vargas that Universal’s Dark Universe might still be alive after all. Even after the disaster that was The Mummy, it looks like Universal’s monster franchise might still have some life left in it.

I've glossed over Cult of Chucky for too long in my Netflix Queue, think I might check it out this weekend. I haven't seen any of the installments in such a long time, is it necessary for this one?

At the least, you will need to see CURSE, as CULT continues the story. If you know of the series, you wont need to see anything pre CULT. But for reasons I wont go into, so as not to spoil anything, a refresher course of the previous movie would also be advisable.

The CGI blood aside, I thought that CURSE was exactly what the Childs Play series needed. A sequel that was also a tonal reboot.

Sam Raimi is aiming to make a 4th Evil Dead film, only if he can get Bruce Campbell to come out of retirement as Ash.

Another rumour is that there might be a new Evil Dead game.

It looks like they are going for a Lovecraft Universe. Starting with a remake of Castle Freak.
    https://www.dreadcentral.com/news/275297/castle-freak-remake-being-written-will-be-first-in-expanded-lovecraft-universe/
Another interesting thing from that article is that they are also remaking The Puppet Master. That movie freaked me out as a kid.

Suspiria is one of my top five horror films of all time.

Obviously I wasn't thrilled when it was announced that a remake was happening. But it's been in the works for so long that I'm long since resigned to the remake happening. I am now curious to see it. Mainly because Guadagnino is a talented filmmaker with an excellent attention to detail and can create atmosphere so expertly. The trailer is intriguing and he's avoided the trademark Giallo colour palette that Argento splashed across the screen. So it'll be an interesting exercise to compare and contrast the two when watching this.

I've never seen the original Suspiria, nor have I ever heard of it. However, the remake looks like one of those movies that critics will tell me, "It's the scariest movie of the decade," but I'll be bored out of my mind watching it. Kinda like The Witch.

@Risico007, it's dropping this Friday! I was actually worried it'd be a real tease of a teaser and wouldn't even reveal Michael's look; glad to know those fears are squashed with these photos.

That first shot keeps evoking Friday the 13th vibes for me.

    Pt IV?

If nothing else, they've done an excellent job on the mask.
