I’m excited and annoyed at the same time

The brother angle was even part of the original (when you add in the tv version) and here we are ....

But still why would Michael try and Kill Laurie if he isn’t related to her? After 40 years as well? But since this is the last one (untill it makes. Shit ton of money)

This is a must for me in the theater

But ONLY when you add the tv version. I watched it recently and there's not a thing that would suggest they're related if you watch the first one alone. She drops the key off at his house for her dad, and that's it! @-) Cause he's CRAZY

Looks really good. I'll be checking it out in theaters.

This 'seems' to be unmasked Michael really quick, when he bangs against the bathroom door. But I'm not sure.... in the asylum shot it looked like he had closely shaved white hair. What do you all think?

Whoop, cancel that. Michael's actually using the reporter as a battering ram, lol! Jeeze!

    Michael's arm:

I was gonna say that he looks a little too young, even with it being blurry.

Quite right, Myers would be 61 in this timeline.

Here’s Tony Moran, the guy who played ‘unmasked Michael’ in the original, as he looks today.

Until I see different, I’ll pretend that’s how Michael looks!

I wasn't too far off. That means Moran was only 20 when he played Michael first. That's pretty cool.

Yep! Btw he’s also the brother of Happy Days’ Erin Moran

That was a pretty good trailer. I definitely will have to see this in the theater. Hope it lives up to the hype! The original Halloween is simply one of the all-time great horror films.

I should be ashamed for making this, and I am. :))

Slightly less creepy now that they're no longer related. Slightly.

I'm still disappointed that they're ignoring Halloween 2 (1981) but this looks pretty solid to me. It's already better than those two catastrophes that Rob Zombie made.

    Looks great. I'm in.

    @Remington
I disagree. Zombie brought his own style to the game. I may not like what he did with the characters in H2 but that first Halloween remake really rocked IMO.

It's funny though. Halloween has to be one of the least consistent series in the horror genre. It's one continuous sequence of partial reboots, retcons, remakes and so forth. Thus far, I've always liked the 'trilogy' of Halloween 1, 2 and H20 best.

Zombie's two iterations were more gore, T&A and blood rather than suspense, tension and thrills, but there was one moment that really did scare me in that first remake he did, and I think it's when Michael pops up out of the dark to cut someone's throat on a porch? I haven't seen it since I saw it in theaters so the details are a little fuzzy.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is even worse. I counted at least 6 timelines!

    I stand corrected.

At least, @MajorDSmythe, our love children, F13 and ANOES, have some consistency to offer. Perhaps not always in quality, but at least in "myth".

You know what I just realized since they’re ignoring all the sequels? BEN TRAMER LIVES!!! Lol

I wonder if he and Laurie ever had that date.... I mean she must have ended up with someone!

Yeah I liked the second one but I'm not too bothered about them ignoring it. I think Halloween works best when it's simple and Micheal is more mysterious. That's why I didn't like the Rob Zombie version either. I think it's a lot creepier when he's just this unstoppable (but human) force who kills for no reason. That's what sets him apart for me.

The new one looks great. I'm really excited.

You took the money though didn't you dear Jamie?

Unless the quote is taken from another instance of Jamie Lee Curtis speaking on Halloween 2018, she didn't refer to H20 or Resurrection in that matter. The video below shows her calling the film VIRUS she made in the 90s a POS. Also in the 5 minute talk she gives on Halloween 2018, she makes the above reference to having said "hella" as well, which leads me to think that they're just misquoting her from this talk.

EDIT: the comment comes a few seconds after where this clip starts. I tried to put in the correct time for the comment but the player for some reason starts the clip earlier than intended.

Did anyone happen to see HEREDITARY this weekend? Only came to my attention a couple days ago. Seems to be getting some interesting responses.
