A new trailer for IT: Chapter 2 will drop tomorrow.
That scene with James McAvoy and the glass-filled room is going to be worth the price of admission alone!
And that closing shot with Pennywise laughing. Damn.
The final 2 Halloween films confirmed for October 16, 2020 and October 15, 2021.
I'm inclined to agree with you on both counts. It had its moments, but I didn't get from it what a lot of other people got. As for Jamie Lee Curtis, it feels like she only wants to be associated with the films when it suits her. And I thought what they tried to do with Laurie in Halloween '18, was done better in Halloween H20.
Agreed. Laurie's character in H20 was really interesting. Having her in hiding, a near alcoholic neurotic with a son, but still a strong and resilient woman was a really good idea and played brilliantly by Jamie Lee. In the new film she was basically one dimensional.
H20 did its best to trim the fat of garbage the sequels before it wrapped around Myers, and didn't do a bad job of it, but Resurrection managed to undo all of that in about seven minutes.
If Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends are in anyway decent, I'll most likely forget about all of the previous sequels unless I'm doing a full marathon.
I feel that way, but towards the Texas Chainsaw Massacre films. Unless I am having a TCM marathon, which doesn't happen often, I am more likely to watch the first and third films.
Never bothered with 'Resurrection'....never will. As far as I'm concerned that timeline ended with H20. The new Halloween is a completely different universe.
A far superior one so far, imo.
Yeah, I completely understand the thinking there. TCM is equally fragmented in terms of quality.

EDIT: Jup, he's in the movie, as himself again. :)
Talking of Bill Murray, has anyone seen "The Dead Don't Die" yet?
