@BAIN123, glad to find someone who agrees, though I thought the whole thing was hilarious, surprisingly. Haha, what could the one quality be?

"I am what you Colonials might call a 'bad-assed motherf***er."

Just when you think Roger Moore can't possibly be any more awesome.

EDIT: Hahah, @Murdock beat me to it. That's the one. He was hilarious throughout.

"Care for a bite of my...sausage?"

Whew, anyway, back on topic, I thought 2013 had a lot of highs and lows. Started off weak, then the summer hit and I lowered my expectations and was only disappointed twice ('Elysium' and 'The Hangover: Part III,' which were two of my most disappointing films of the year), got a little rocky through September and whatnot, and then I caught up on a bunch of movies the other day and was blown away, so the year had its moments, bringing unbelievable films such as 'Out Of The Furnace,' 'Prisoners,' 'Rush,' and 'Oblivion,' and some duds, too.

I'll admit, I've not watched a lot of 2013 films in 2013. I've only seen three in theaters (Iron Man 3, Prisoners, Thor: The Dark World) and maybe two others on DVD (World War Z and Star Trek Into Darkness is all I can think about as of now) and I've to to say, while I've enjoyed every 2013 film I've seen (with the notable exception of most of World War Z), I just feel that this year hasn't been worth it. I feel like 2013 is just a stepping stone to 2015, when the likes of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Batman Vs Superman, Star Wars Episode VII and Bond 24 hit the scene.

Although Die Hard 5 was crap the worst film of the year by far for me was Movie 43. So bad I couldn''t even get through the whole thing.

I thought 'Movie 43' had some funny scenes. It got trashed, but to me, most of the low-budget comedies that everyone hates, I seem to have a soft spot for and love immensely: 'Boat Trip,' 'A Good Old Fashioned Orgy,' 'The Goods,' and 'White Chicks,' to name a few.

That had a few funny moments and ONE big redeeming quality ;)

This is the greatest thing I've ever watched. All hail Moore. ^:)^

It was a very mediocre year for film, I believe. You sometimes had the occasional gems (Star Trek Into Darkness, Gravity) but then you have the awful ones (Diana, Scary Movie V)

    Average year in general really

It is a funny scene. This one though always makes me cringe:

I saw it the other night, it made my Top 3 Films of 2013 List. It was unbelievable. I picked it up on blu-ray right after I saw it. The acting and score in it was so phenomenal that it wasn't one of those films where you get the big answer to the question of the film (Where are the girls and who took them?) and you don't need to see it again. I could watch that movie over and over.
  • Weak year for movies no doubt. I saw a few ...

    Gravity - Pretty darn good.
Thor 2 - Average at best
Ironman 3 - Good not great
Hobbit 2 - Decent, too much bad cgi though. It's no LOTR i can tell you that.

I would say yes. IMHO this year had 2 movies that can easily be put as one of the best (500) movies of all time. Gravity and Rush and that speaks something. Good award nomination movies alongside some good blockbusters made this good year for movies.
  • @Creasy47 Judi was terrific and sweet, but she's very different from many of her other roles (in that her character is a bit of a dolt)

That should be interesting to see, then, her playing a different character. I'm looking forward to it.

Maybe the worst year for movies that I can remember. I only went to the cinema 3 (!) times this year, spending more time buying dvds and catching up on films through Netflix. All three films (World War Z, Fast & Furious 6, Iron Man 3) where good films, but none of them have made it to my "must buy"-list.

Actually going to go out on a limb here against you all and say that it's been the best year in a long time for film in general, just not on the blockbuster circuit.

Because of Skyfall get 2 million views in the cinema, the first Hobbit movie in 2012 end on the 2th place. But 25 million is not easy to beat.
