Total: 128/150 (85,3%). More then Goldeneye i notice thanks to Cinematopgraphy, Fleming, Music and Maintitle. Bond 23 rank: 2/23!!

Till Twine, GE be my favorite pre-title scene. Favorite maintitle and title song. Also the gunbarrel is one of my favorites. It be shame Bruce Feirstein not help with Die Another Day.

Music of Twine whas one of my favorites scores. It be David Arnold second score and i can't understand you say it be Auto pilot. If you said this about the later movies.

Casting of CR exept Eva Green even as Goldeneye and Twine. The sets/locations are in both great too, exept Submarine and sinking house mabey a bit to much. This said i have more problems with sinking house, because i not like the story so Vesper death did nothing to me. Highlight of Twine as Goldeneye be example be be humor and drama.

Inspiration for CR and Skyfall, a litle less with QOS. Some succes points of Twine are not so good with DAD, CR and Skyfall. The cinemamatopgraphy and music style have been done again with CR, but to my disapointed with to much agression...like big part CR be. Yes you can have problems with pacing of Twine like OHMSS or Spy Who Loved Me, but the movie is made with love and respect.

I don't have problem with Mother story line, but iam only not happy with the way how in end in Skyfall. In Skyfall, my favorite parts of M be her naive as happend in QOS and the moment she in be in the house. Almoost every location idea in Skyfall is taken from Twine or TMND. QOS whas refreshing and i think Skyfall already should have focus more on that and it partly did but not enough. I like to see there minilise Twine elements in the next movie exept very strong casting and locations.

Twine also be onle movie i have liked to see made Spinoff, a Twine prequel with M, Robert and Elektra King (Her mother and sister), Renard playing at same time of event in 70's. I thaught it be intresting to tell more about M at her time of Oxford too. Also some of those elements in Bond 23 and later. Like M be no loger save and fake er death and Jared Harris as her love intrest be (confirmd in Skyfall be deah now) be the new Q. In my fanart i name the spinoff movie Master Of Mystery (For King And Country) aka Mom. Bond 23 named Property of Lady.

Tomorrow Never Dies and Twine tv promotion be mabey a bit overkill when i look back to the so much re-peat material i have but at the time it whas great. Stil think it should be taken as example, also if we look to releases of soundtrack and other promotion material. But iam stil proud on the movie it be my first dvd. Twine can be at with movie i have seen same year Mi2 and in 2002 released Spider-Man. I believe i have seen Twine 12-14 times and also count for those.

Pheww, I suppose that's the best that TWINE could hope for. ;-)

Is it higher/lower than your own ratings?

Mine - 74% Forums - 63.85%. I love TWINE, but even I couldn't stop it from rating low, but not as low as the fine members of this forum.

What is your favourite category/element/thing about TWINE?

Despite his overacting, I do enjoy Pierce's performance.

What surprised you the most, while reading other peoples ratings?

Actually there was there was several people that admitted liking TWINE, but these damn categories tripped them up. Or that's my story, and I'm sticking with it...

Wow, impressive list! I'm surprised TSWLM ended up in such a high place. :-)

Nearly every action scene in TWINE sees Bond swinging around on a rope or chain. So many opportunities for a Tarzan yell were wasted.

    1. Direction - 6
    2. Screenplay - 6
    3. Script - 6
    4. Plot - 7 (I suppose stealing an old Soviet submarine to nuke Turkey to expand an oil empire could happen)
    5. Action - 8 (The better part of TWINE, especially the Thames chase)
    6. Main Villain - 7 (Not a bad outing for the first attractive main Bond femme fatale)
    7. Main Bond Girl - 3 (Denise Richards was horribly miscast. Now, if she had played Zuchovsky's random hooker #4...)
    8. Bond - 5 (Pierce looked like he belonged more on General Hospital or Eastenders)
    9. Sets - 7
    10. Music - 6
    11. Cinematography - 8
    12. Fleming - 4 (Ian probably would have regretted coming up with Bond's Coat of Arms motto had he known it would be used in this manner).

    13. Supporting Cast - 4 (Can't complain about the cast, but this was the first signs of Mommy Dearest Judy Dench)
    14. Main Titles - 2 (I think this is when the band Garbage jumped the shark. Also, the oil drop graphics left a lot to desire, like not having a main title sequence)

    16. Pace - 4

My guess is OHMSS and CR beat it out in a categories competition like this. Overall FRWL is perhaps a better film but category rankings like this can skew. We shall see though!

Favorite Sean Connery Bond movie! Bond 23 rank: 008/23! after OHMSS and LALD, before TLD. With Thunderball my favorite Blofeld, l like it a lot there hide him and be shame not take til OHMSS. Pacing can get you out of the movie and inspecialy the train scene but lucky the music (Just oke like Dr No or LALD for example) and humor make a lot of things good. Inspecialy Pedro Armendáriz (RIP) as Kerim Bay and Sean Connery as Bond. First Bond movie with pre-title, but iam not fan of it.

I remember when this thread was in it's infancy and I supported it even though I (sadly) didn't participate until fairly recently. Great idea @royale65.

FRWL is okay, except for that @Kerim guy, that is. Totally makes the film a chore to watch when he's on the screen. ;)
