This game has not been perfected, out of years of patient research, ENTIRELY for that purpose, @DarthDimi.

Nah, the truth is that this entire week, I have sat here laughing maniacally and twirling my moustache, waiting for you to break. Muahahahaha!

I mean, thanks for your patience, mate. ;-)

Don't worry, I broke years ago.

I keep telling you, if you want me to ban @Benny for tearing your soul apart, just let me know!

    Don't hurt @Benny! I don't have Stockholm syndrome, honest.

Looking through the list, the 80’s haven’t received a lot of love, so...

    A View to a Kill, 1985

    /10
    1. Direction – 6 (Glen’s weakest effort)
    2. Screenplay – 6 (Does it want to be a 70’s style flamboyant entry to send Sir Rog off with a bang, or does it want to be a conservative 80’s tale? Frankly the film doesn’t know)
    3. Script – 7
    4. Plot – 7
    5. Action – 7
    6. Main Villain – 10
    7. Main Bond Girl – 6
    8. Bond – 8 (despite his advancing years, this is still a good performance by Sir Rog)
    9. Sets – 8
    10. Music – 10 (“Wine with Stacey” just a superb piece!)
    11. Cinematography – 7
    12. Fleming – 7 (a little bit of the ol’ espionage)

    15. Plausibility - 4
    16. Pace – 3
    17. Editing – 3
    18. Tilt – 5 (despite all of its flaws, I do kinda dig AVTAK)

    110/150 = 73.33%

    2. Dr No – 84.66%

AVTAK marks the end of the “comedy Bonds”, so why not to back to where this most disturbing trends began, with….

    Diamonds Are Forever, 1971

    /10
    1. Direction – 7 (Decent job from the returning Hamilton, but runs out of steam in the climax)
    2. Screenplay – 6
    3. Script – 9
    4. Plot – 5
    5. Action – 6 (no tension, but a whole lot of carnage)
    6. Main Villain – 7 (Gray’s miscast as Blofeld, but he does have a way with words, and indeed his interactions with Bond are the films highlight)
    7. Main Bond Girl – 7 (John has a nice mischievous chemistry with Connery, that makes me overlook her increasing “Bimboness” throughout the movie)
    8. Bond – 9
    9. Sets – 8
    10. Music – 10
    11. Cinematography – 6
    12. Fleming – 6 (A little bit of the begin bizarre to be sure)

    15. Plausibility - 3
    16. Pace – 3

So we are now on 1/2 from the 24 movies and DAF is my 12th favorite Bond movie, sometimes i consider it 13th place. My top 11 not changed much. For long time Charles Gray be my favorite visible Blofeld till i change my mind in OHMSS Telly Savalas. Locations (inspecialy The Netherlands and Las Vegas), humor (Number 3 of Connery era), Sean Connery (humor), Action and having Blofeld make the difrence. Big fan of PTS inspecialy the opening. Pacing in connection with the more dificult story and music get me out the movie sometimes, but les then with GF and the end is more boring then Dr No (and already think that take to long).

To mark the halfway point of the EON produced films, shall we have a true classic?
