True that! In fact, I'm predicting a couple more movies to push GE down the ranking. But then, the "best" Bond movie may not necessarily be my "favourite" Bond movie. There's a distinction. ;-)
Not for me!
@M_Balje has got it right.
1. On Her Majesty’s Secret Service – 91.33%

A new leader, nearly 10% points up on it’s nearest competitors. Will the supreme Majesty’s hold on to the lead?
For reference, OHMSS placed 3 out of 27 films in 2016, with a score of 89.94%. In 2014, OHMSS placed 2 out of 26 films, with a score of 88.50%.
Only three movies have scored over 90% since 2014. OHMSS 2021 makes it four.

1. Direction – 7 (The late Apted does a decent enough job, all though he lacks a bit of dynamism to this picture. Minus points for letting Brozz become too animated)

3. Script – 6
4. Plot – 7
5. Action – 7
6. Main Villain – 9 (Every time Marceau as Elektra appears on screen, this film moves into a higher gear. From a wounded angel, to the melodramatic and megalomaniacal big bad, with daddy issues, Marceau is in great form)
7. Main Bond Girl – 6 (Compared to Marceau, Richards is a mere cheerleader)
8. Bond – 7 (Oh, poor Pierce. Lacking the usual economy of Fleming’s Bonds, this turn has some unfortunate, erm, gurning, which undermines what is otherwise a fine performance)

Oh, my beloved TWINE. Still, not as bad I first feared, and, higher % than your chaps will give it, I’m sure. TWINE is a bold picture, lacking in its execution.

Rip Michael Apted
In points nothing changed and also not realy much with my opnion of the movie, but..
So after more then 21 years i have new number 2. Lower ranking is also, because of the music and trater two typical things of Twine from what i think it is time to let go. Better said: I whant les influeence on future movies and that mean new music on the end credits.
I think influence of the new number 2 made a big comeback, if it ever been gone. So far i like ''No Time To Die'' as title, but The World Is Not Enough have been nice now for Bond 25 too. I also think ''Nothing Left To Save'' can have been considerd. It sound a bit like ''Never Let Them See You Bleed'' that i consider for Bond 22 for a 6th movie with Brosnan in 2008.

Not too far behind LTK. Impressive.
Interestingly @DarthDimi, LALD placed 12/27 in the 2016 edition, with 76.88%, and placed 14/26 in the 2014 run, with 74.52%. LALD has been fairly consistent. And it has some big fans on this site. If only it had a smidge less overt humour to it.
