    Heineken has even extended its influence to the movies. There's a whole
    exhibition room about the link between James Bond and Heineken,
    including authentic props from the movies!

    Anyone here who likes SpongeBob?

    Seasons 5 episode "Spy Buddies" is a very funny parody of James Bond and Mission: Impossible.

    In F9, the scene with Vin Diesel and Helen Mirren is shot and scored like a Bond film.

    Got to see two Bond references today. First, I watched a few minutes of Tatoo Fixers, and one of the clients had "Live and Let Die" inked on his/her chest. When he/she showed it, the strings of the movie's theme played.

    Second (under spoilers) :
    In the movie Black Widow, Natacha, when hiding from the authorities, watches Moonraker (a movie she seems to know by heart) in a caravan. At the end, during the climactic battle, she gets to enact one of the most famous scenes in the movie. Watch it and you'll see. I don't know if it was done on purpose, but it would be nice if it was, no ?

    So Heineken has bought its way into the Bond heritage in order to sell its taste-free concoctions that pass for beer in some places. Rarely has a product-placement (save maybe the AMC cars in TMWTGG) item fitted less for Bond than that diluted barley broth.

    Uh, no. I noticed it in one scene, might have been episode 5 or 6. At least it looked like that car for me.

    Another one from Twin Peaks. When Agent Cooper has been shot, he learns that it was with a Walther PPK, "the gun of James Bond."

    In the Department S episode "A Fish Out of Water", we can see some YOLT advertising outside a cinema – seen from Jason King's point of view as he looks down, while hiding from some bad guys outside the window of a Beirut apartment.

    The episode also features Cyril Shaps (Bechmann in TSWLM), and Maggie Wright (uncredited Flying Circus pilot in GF).

    Warning: Thi is probably only funny for Bond fans being from or speaking German. And maybe not even all those people will get this. The basic thing is, they dubbed scenes from Bond films in Swabian accent (You know, Stuttgart. The place from wich Doctor Kaufmann claimed he could have killed Bond and making it look like a suicide). 007's taks is to sell oil stoves, radiator heatings and the like to, well, Dr. No.)

    That was a great location. They should have filmed the climax there, with Dr Jones running around with a machine gun. In a bikini.

    Hanging upside down from a rope like in QOS; walking on a rope like Connery did under the oil rig. The author will have plenty of rope material for another five books after they watch TWINE.

    I just stumbled across this (your link) belatedly but found it had been blocked/deleted for copyright reasons in the meantime...

    UPDATE: I can still find it on YouTube and just watched it. Hilarious! "Bond. Dieter Bond."

    Oh geez, of course, and here's dense me thinking, "Yeah, I guess Bond does hang from a lot of things in TWINE...the window blinds cord, the hot air balloon, his watch piton, the chains in the bunker. Dunno if I can think of five though..."

    A local news website has an article containing a "List of illegal baby names in the U.S. and around the world".

    Here is a selection of the banned baby names:

    * Talula Does the Hula from Hawaii (New Zealand)
    * Chief Maximus (New Zealand)
    * Robocop (Mexico)
    * Sex Fruit (New Zealand)
    * Linda (Saudi Arabia)
    * Snake (Malaysia)
    * Friday (Italy)
    * Islam (China)
    * Sarah (Morocco)
    * Osama bin Laden (Germany)
    * Metallica: (Sweden)
    * Prince William (France)
    * Devil (Japan)
    * Blue (Italy)
    * Circumcision (Mexico)
    * Quran (China)
    * Harriet (Iceland)
    * Cyanide (United Kingdom)
    * Monkey (Denmark)
    * Thor (Portugal)
    * 007 (Malaysia)

    Shame on you Malaysia! If proud Bond fans wish to give the fruit of their loins the greatest number in the world instead of a conventional appellation, let them!
