Would you have a Bond-themed wedding?

I'm sorry I couldn't find a general music thread to ask in, but a dear lad of mine is being wed and has considered using Bond songs during the wedding, such as "If There Was a Man"

What songs do you think would work well in a wedding?

" we have all the time in the world "
That would be the main one for me. Depends on how bond you want to go with the whole thing? There are so many romantic tracks on all of the scores to have a lengthy playlist :)

I don't know if I'll marry someday, but if I ever do I want three songs on the wedding (which by the way wouldn't be nothing fancy, it repels me): We Have All the Time in the World, The Godfather Waltz, and Jackson.

Definitely will have a lot of the music playing at my wedding. Especially WHATTITW.

Perhaps we'll drive off in a rented (or hopefully owned) Aston. I'd love to have a '69 DBS for its my favorite Aston, but I fear it'd bring bad luck. I do love Dalton's Volante, too, so perhaps that.

It'd be cool to parachute in. Especially if you could manage to surprise your s/o with the entrance.

The very of idea of me having a wedding is too ridiculous to entertain, so please let me examine the possibility of someone else enjoying a Bond wedding. Obviously "We Have All the Time in the World" is a great tune to play while the bride and groom have the first dance, as would "Nobody Does it Better" for some light-hearted lovey dovey crap. All the guests could dress up in Bondian form (boys in tuxedos, girls in sleek dresses) and a serving of vodka martinis for the alcoholically inclined could be arranged so that everyone regrets their decisions the next morning. Good luck with having a Bond themed wedding though, because matrimony in this franchise doesn't really pan out that well, especially for poor old James and Felix. For those boys the line "til' death do we part" was less of a life commitment and more an apt prediction of events soon to come. RIP Tracy and Della...
  • I would. Getting someone to agree with that is as less likely as someone being able to go to Japan and finding an inactive volcano to hollow out to steel space shuttles from.

    Bond theme?
    Naw.
I would wear a tux like Craig wore in CR.
that would be as far as I would go.

If you're going full Bond theme, then you can't go past:

    'FRWL'
    'The Look of Love'
    'WHATTITW'
    'If There Was A Man'
    'If You Asked Me To'
    'Nobody Does It Better'
    'FYEO'
    'All Time High'

And remember to have DAF play when you slide on the ring.
  • Have the Vesper theme play. Or maybe a longer version of it. Actually, Eric Serra's Experience of Love would be calming for the audience. For Your Eyes Only?

I'm dropping Bond touches into my wedding, which is set for the end of the year. The tables at the reception are named after the Fleming Novels and will have subtle decor inspired by many of the Chopping covers. I also plan to gift everyone the novel relevant to their table as a thank you. Planning on hiring a DB5, as the whole thing is taking place in the Scottish Highlands - very difficult to get insurance to drive it, however! Regards music, our first dance is 'We have all the time in the World' - and that was my better half's idea!

Well, I'm a woman so let me chime in - heck, yes!

Especially music (not "All the Time in the World" it is too connected to T's death), Although I seem to be the only person in this forum who thinks that. But I would never want that one. "If There Was a Man" would be lovely.
At the reception, go for all the favorites you have, including instrumental bits like Wine with Stacy (or Wine at Stacy's, whatever it's named). Me, I'd be including, "Nobody Does It Better."

Don't like the movie Casino Royale '67 but that song is amazing and so romantic: "The Look of Love." I'd have that for sure.

Of course, this would work best if the bride is a Bond fan, too. Personally, if done right (NOT cheesy) I'd love it. :x

Well, this sound very cool indeed! Obviously, you have no problem including one of the songs I wouldn't ever choose. But everything sounds splendid. Great planning! Best wishes to both of you.

No. This is a troll thread by our old "friend" @Christartos. As such, it should be closed forthwith.
