    Wow! Not more love for Robert Shaw and what is arguably the best performance in Bond history? So what if he is not "technically the main villain". He should be amongst the elite runners on this list! Is really balled guy Savalis that much better?

    When you kind of think about it, Bunt is the one most responsible, and who disappears into the ether never to be seen again after OHMSS. What a crock.

    I think a lot of people see Blofeld as Bond's biggest arch enemy, but I don't think he's really that phenomenal of a villain, at least not as much as a lot think. There was never any consistency with him in the series because there were new actors playing him (and some doing his voice) for every film, so you never really connected to him as one powerful entity. If the same actor portrayed him through DN to OHMSS and DAF, I think he'd be remembered more fondly. Telly did get to do stuff the rest of the Blofelds didn't, like the short but sweet fisticuffs with Bond near the end of OHMSS, so it's easy to see why his version is the one represented here. If only he'd returned for DAF, along with Lazenby to truly wrap up what OHMSS left us with. If that film had been done right, Blofeld would've had the chance to be the undisputed Bond villain to beat them all, but instead we got Charles Gray in a stupid dress and a weak send off to a rather unsatisfying film, especially following what OHMSS set up (and that EON never really explored).
