Sir Roger Moore says he backs ******* to be James Bond #6

Sir Roger Moore, ex-Bond himself, has said that the choice is easy when looking for a James Bond number six, reports Female First.

Scottish star, ******* , is returning from a round the world charity motorbike trek and is after a new role.

"I'd be passing the baton on to another Scot you see," Moore was quoted to say.

Ewan would, if receives the roll, assumably pick up from where Brosnan left off, and star in Bond 21.

MI6 Rumour Rating: Pull the other one Rog.

British actor ******* rumoured for James Bond #6 role

British actor ******** has had his name dropped in the latest media rumour on who will become the sixth James Bond 007.

Born in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England in 1969, ******* would be 37 at the time of Bond 21's release in theatres if he secures the role. Unlike many candidates touted by the press, ******* has a free schedule for potential shooting in late 2005.

****** is perhaps best known for his roles in "Mona Lisa Smile" (2003), "Chicago" (2002) and "28 Days" (2000). As usual with any potential 007, he has a movie connection to a previous James Bond - ******* played a minor role in "Spice World: The Movie" in which Roger Moore hammed it up as a villain.

Pierce Brosnan confirms to Empire Magazine - `B*****`

"B*******," Pierce Brosnan told the latest issue of Empire Magazine. The 51 year old actor said life as 007 if "Over. Done. Dusted. My contract was for four movies, they [EON Productions] invited me back for a fifth and I said yes, then somewhere in the middle of negotiations they changed their minds."

The magazine claims an exclusive on the news, strange considering Brosnan has given the same quotes to several outlets already this month.

Still, Brosnan doesn't seem to have any regrets "Am I staggered by this?" he ponders. "No, I'm not. It's a hard business. I wish them well and I wish the next guy well."

Die Another Day` attracts *******.9 million viewers for UK TV premiere, breaks 2004 records

Last night's network premiere screening of "Die Another Day" on ITV scooped the largest audience for a James Bond film on British television in 2004.

The terrestrial premiere of the fourth Pierce Brosnan outing, which came out in theatres in November 2002, attracted nearly 8 million viewers.

The film, which co-starred Halle Berry, was watched by *******.9 million viewers and attracted a 33% audience share between 9pm and 10.30pm.

After ITV's 10.30pm news, the movie concluded with 5.6 million viewers - a 46% audience share - between 11pm and 12.05pm.

"Die Another Day" has narrowly beaten last year's record of 7.8 million viewers for a Bond film when "The World Is Not Enough" was shown. Also in 2003, "GoldenEye" attracted 7.5 million despite having been shown on numerous occasions in previous years.

With *******.9 million viewers, "Die Another Day" is likely to feature highly in the UK's `most watched films` of 2004 list, which will be published in early 2005.

******* Parliament building touted as possible shooting location for `Casino Royale` by local press

******* newspaper The Daily Record are doing their bit for local tourism today with a piece touting the nation's new parliament building as a venue Eon Productions are interested in as a potential shooting location for the 21st James Bond film "Casino Royale".

"The £431million home to *******'s politicians is among a number of secret locations being considered by film makers" according to the paper.

"Casino Royale goes into production this year and is set for release next year - and the parliament building is being touted as the casino. Makers Eon Productions are remaining tight-lipped about their plans. But a spokeswoman yesterday said: 'A number of sites will be considered and we cannot rule out the Scottish parliament.'"

"Industry insiders say the dramatic parliament building would be ideal for the big screen. The film is set mainly on the French Riviera but the climactic scene involves the super spy facing his arch-enemy across the baccarat table in a casino. One source at Pinewood Studios, where the Bond films are produced, said: 'The ******* parliament is a stunning building which could be turned into a casino for the film. It would be a perfect addition to the locations we've used over the years.'"

******* has featured in Bond films in the past. Eilean Donan Castle, on the Kyle of Lochalsh, was used as a secret MI6 base when Pierce Brosnan played Bond in "The World Is Not Enough". And Roger Moore filmed scenes at Faslane naval base for The Spy Who Loved Me.

*******Screen, which promotes film locations across Scotland, confirmed the parliament would be available for future filming - how fortunate.

But a spokeswoman told the paper "they were not actively promoting the building. She added: 'The Executive will consider any request to shoot at the Scottish parliament on its merits."

Of course James Bond has already been here before. Sir Sean Connery joined Her Majesty the Queen and thousands of others at the opening of the parliament building in October 2004.

The parliament building, which was designed by Enric Miralles, opened last year next to Holyrood Palace. It is made up of a series of four to six-storey buildings linked by a garden lobby and houses Scotland's 129 MSPs.

These are old news stories from quite a few years ago and @M_Balje wants us to try and fill in the blanks, the words he's asterixed out.

For example the first answer is 'Brosnan'.
