Great! Let us know what you think of it when you get it read, @Birdleson!
If you like the book, keep in mind that the BBC adapted The Green Man into a three-part series starring Albert Finney. It's pretty good (Malcolm Bradbury handled the script) and if you wish to see it, I have the DVD and an all-region player.
I must get that series on DVD actually as well as any other Amis adaptations that are available. The only Amis adaptation I've seen thus far is the film of Lucky Jim (1957). Saw it back in, I think, 2004.
I'm always ready to help folks watch things. My player also handles Blu-Rays from all regions.
There's also the 1970 film of Take a Girl Like You, directed by Jonathan Miller of Beyond the Fringe fame (he also directed a superb TV version of Alice in Wonderland) and starring Oliver Reed and Hayley Mills. DVDBeaver reviewed the Blu-Ray editions here.
