43 is actually a perfect age. I find women in their 40’s to be some of the most attractive around and perfect for Craig’s Bond.

Considering Craig’s maturity, what is the youngest they should considered?
    35ish feels right for me.

20s to early 30s is good for me. He doesn't need to sleep with them.

Alright, let me clarify, as a non-platonic Bond girl. ;)

Mid to late 30's then. Perhaps up to early 40's.

I may be in the minority, but I thought Bellucci was a bit too mature in SP, although she was in great shape.

Bellucci isn't mature, she's just always ripe. Always ;) She's like Sophia Loren. Always lush, always ripe. A true woman. Never a girl, always a woman.

A bit, but she fit that role perfectly.

Since Seydoux's return was announced, I have wondered: assuming she's not dead, not seen in flashbacks, and plays an impactful role-- maybe not in screen time, but importance to the story-- will James Bond be sleeping with anyone other than Swann?

Depending on the story, this may very well be the case.

@peter I’ve considered the same thing.
I’ve always been of the school of thought that , regardless of his womanizing past, once committed, Bond would be solidarity faithful.

Now some might argue that he will do whatever it takes to fulfill the mission, including sex, that’s also a possibility. Can he compartmentalze?
This might present an interesting dilemma.

I've had similar thoughts @talos7 ... I also think if he is to be faithful in this one, but does end up sleeping with a second woman, will the very sensitive media and certain groups out there accept this? I think that in this climate it'd be a wildly unpopular move, and one the producers would steer clear of. Especially if he returns to Swann at the end.

Personally, Swann or no Swann, I'd like to see him be put in this dilemma with a femme fatale type, like Fiona who aggressively goes after him.

I agree. She's a very sensual woman. Amazing eyes, lips, body. Lovely voice. And, as you say, a true woman.

Considering OHMSS, I think he can, but would he still be 'allowed' to do so? Interesting indeed. But don't worry, reading P&W, Swann will only return so she can betray him (because we haven't had that happen before... like this...)

How about Jodie Comer best known as Villanelle in Killing Eve. One of the leading female roles in Bond 25 is supposed so let's see her play the complete opposite of V.

I don't know anything about her, but she certainly has potential for Bond #007. A bit young for the current fella perhaps.

  • She looks weird when she smiles though. Her cheeks are too apple for my tastes.

    Can we have Hermione Corfield?

Wasn't she in Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation?

Good spot, @Pierce2Daniel. She'd actually fit the image of Bond's protege.

Yes, the record shop girl. EON isn't averse to using Tom's hand me downs as we know, so it's possible.

She can change up her look nicely. I wouldn't have a problem with her.

EoN need to cast their fishing nets over in Canada. Many of the women there are gorgeous beyond comprehension.

I'd also love for Sandrine Holt to be in a Bond film. She's got everything to make a Bond Girl look feisty and desirable, and give Bond a run for his money.

This may be an off beat choice, particularly as I have expressed my preference for non-American girls in Bond films. However, I saw her last night in Bad Times at the El Royale and was suitably impressed. I had pretty much ignored her in the past due to her involvement in that 50 Shades stuff which I've not seen. She's certainly got mum and dad's star looks, charisma and a certain style.

She's good looking but maybe too girl next door.

I find it quite hard to think of "exotic" Bond girls. All I come up with are English roses.

She was the only good thing about that 50 shades story I saw and I am embarrassed to say it was indeed because she was quite nude in that film

A lot of scenes in 50 shades used body doubles for nude scenes so we never know if that was her

It's a very fair point to make. Back in the 1960s They cast vertical unknowns – often they weren’t even actresses but beauty queens. In the end we were treated to numerous beautiful women with massively varying degrees of acting talent.

Nowadays, there is a tendency to go for more established acting talent – something I am somewhat grateful for. Though, it doesn’t mean that the casting directors shouldn’t be more innovative in their ability to source talent.

A recent film I think did an excellent in sourcing new talent for the leading ladies was Blade Runner 2049. Here they clearly wanted to cast attractive women but they went with newer names.

Skyfall did a similarly good job with this – that film had one of the starriest Bond casts but placed little-known French actress Berenice Marlohe in the Bond girl part. This is the kind of bold casting I love. A little known European actress capitulated into the stratosphere. It’s very reminiscent of vintage Bond.

    berenice_marlohe_7_.jpg

Mendes went in the other direction with more established names in Spectre. Lea Seydoux was well-known in Europe and arthouse cinema, though she wasn’t a hugely known to mass audiences. Meanwhile, Monica Bellucci was widely known in Europe and throughout the world. Still, there was a novelty to her involvement as it felt a long time coming.

    Monica-Bellucci:-GQ-Italy-2015--06.jpg

Mendes certainly had a 'type' when you consider both Monica and Berenice
