    Monday vote:

    Sean Connery : 59
    Roger Moore : 29 +1
    Timothy Dalton : 13 -1

    Daniel Craig : 37

    Eliminated :

    5) Pierce Brosnan
    6) George Lazenby

Please be mindful of the votes you are placing. Simply by looking at the votes above your post, will show you that you've probably made a mistake.
It disrupts the game, and although I do not think it is deliberate, could be seen as cheating.
If a member is found to constantly post incorrect scores, then they will be eliminated from the game.

Thankfully there's a great deal of us keeping an eye on the scores so an error doesn't go unseen. It makes me wonder if the first elimination game we played had any score-altering differences we may have missed.

    Sunday voting:

    Sean Connery : 59
    Roger Moore : 28 (-1)
    Timothy Dalton : 13
    Daniel Craig : 38 (+1)

I don't think it's wise to boot people from the game for posting incorrect scores. As many have said, there are way too many factors that can disrupt the voting that is beyond our control, like members posting just seconds before us or their votes not updating on the page so that we don't see them when we post ours. Kicking people out for that is unnecessary and unjust.

As the creator of this thread, I've been keeping an eye on the scores. If someone slips up, I will correct the mistake. It's just a game after all. Were all friends here.

If a member is clearly not following the scores of a previous vote, and consistently does this then they should be held accountable.
It is just a game. But I would think that all members here, are old enough to participate by following clear and easy rules.

That's not my point. Following the rules is easy, and I trust every person participating in this game with holding to those rules. My point is that regardless of how much we want to honor the game sometimes a member will post at the same exact moment another does, which accidentally messes up the scores though neither party wished for it to happen. I am only saying that there are exceptions to your rule.

It almost feels like sacrilege giving my vote to anyone but Connery, but he's got a solid lead, and Dalton looks like he needs it more right now.

We seem to be in a sort of stalemate.

I am surprised to see DC so far ahead of Sir Rog, but perhaps things will change once Tim is undeservedly but (so it seems) unavoidably eliminated into 4th place.

I'm not too surprised. As long as I can remember, Sean Connery has held the number one spot in a vast majority's hearts as the original, and whoever is currently playing James Bond is usually championed as the best Bond since Connery. I remember quite a few movie reviews during the Brosnan era where Brosnan was referred to as the best Bond since Connery, and quite a few surveys after Casino Royale was released calling Craig the best Bond since Connery. I think it's usually during long lulls between movies, like the one after Die Another Day, where it goes back to being a toss-up between Connery and Moore.

Very, very true. There is always an element of 'man of the moment' about these things.

The fact that Dalts is still hanging on in there is a sign of his enduring popularity amongst the fans, I guess. And I think you're right, when the dust settles and we have the next 'best Bond since Connery', we'll see a return to the natural order of Sean and Rog battling it out for top spot, with Sean obviously winning!

That's not to disrespect DC. He's very good, but has not (IMO) had the opportunity to challenge Sean or Rog with a fully formed, top-form Bond plot yet. Laz and Dalts both had better material to work with and had the opportunity to just get on and play Bond at the top of his game - something so far denied to DC.
