    Agreed, as well. Instead of having 23 categories, we have six with more points. Makes sense to me. Besides, George (thankfully) and Pierce (unfortunately) will be the first two gone in just a matter of days, so we'll already be down to four. I see Connery and Craig being last.

    I can see the points needing to be cut, that is all. It would have been nice to have one game without that having to happen - and this one could have been it.

    As I said above the points will still have to be cut, this was an opportunity to not let that happen. The last four left will have to fight it out regardless of points, so why not start with less. Otherwise it only leads to complaining that these things never end.

    Again the simplest fairest way to address daunting point totals is simply to increase the increment from 1 to 3 or 5 or whatever might speed up elimination, because every time a film is eliminated the dynamics of the game change, as those casting the negative votes must now cast elsewhere.

    So there shouldn't be a problem when we get to 4 names. If the voting seems to be static, just increase the increment.
    My two cents, but its also based on how the mods did it back in the "old days" and it worked.
