Oh dear these last minutes are crucial; Argentina just had a great play ... it is not over yet!

    Now or never Lionel.

    He's been shocking tonight.

It's why he's still not in the same class as Pele and Maradona.

The Eastern part of Germany is a few minutes away from enjoying their first World Cup championship.

He wouldn't get in the Norwich team going on a performance like that! ;)

Huge congratulations to Germany, by far the best team at the World Cup this year! =D>

Up close, I think Gotze looks about 18 years old! What a goal. What a great performance by Neuer. I am so happy right now; shame I've got to go to work.

Argies spunked it up the wall. Higuain should've had a hattrick but played absolutely gash. Messi had a big chance start of second half and pissed it past the post - Diego would've stroked that home all day long. Sorry mate you'll just be remembered as a great player not a legend.

And history says if you let the Germans off the hook they will ruthlessly punish you.

To be fair the best team won the tournament even if they weren't quite the best team on the night.

Harsh on Masch though - he didn't deserve that. World class performances the whole tournament.

Exactly, after the 7-1 drubbing I was rooting for Germany. They clearly deserved to win and I'm glad that they did.

    Messi player of tournament?

Well, Messi seems understandably demolished, even while receiving the Golden Ball award. I really don't think I would have awarded him that, just my opinion.

I think the ref was fine, by the way. But then I missed the first half. Anyone not like the ref on this one?

Presume FIFA have some deal with Nike that says he has to win it.

Where is Sepp? Normally he's all over these sort of things. Seems the bloke does have some shame after all

It's actually Adidas that choose the winner. And they just happen to be personal sponsors to Messi.

    Funny that.

It's not the ref being booed, it's Sepp Blatter and the Brazilian President feeling the wrath of the crowd.

Even Sepp realises he's too detested to present the medals. His slimy protege Valcke all over that. Couldn't resist getting his snout in for the presentation of the cup thought.

Hansen and co not having Messi as player of the tournament. Don't think many people are but Sepp has a contract with Adidas and that's all there is to it. F**king despicable individual.
