The producers have been in talks with Pierce Brosnan lately, who tweeted that he was very happy to don the tux once more. Maybe twice.

Actually, it does sound like something The Sun would come up with.
The producers have been seen dining with Roger Moore, who coyly refused to comment on the prospect of returning as Bond an eighth time.
Diana Rigg will also star as the Bond girl, and Sean Connery, as said above, will star as Blofeld.
Because of this, John Logan declared that Bond 24 will be a remake of OHMSS.
George Lazenby has been persuaded by his new agent that Bond is a thing of the past.
Ewan Stewart has been officially cast in Bond 24, after barely missing out on the part in Casino Royale.
I have it from Mirror Online.
Our poor Indian friend! I always feel a bit sorry for him as he makes a lot of effort and we often don't understand what he is saying. I hope he takes this for the affectionate post that it clearly is intended to be!
A source close to the production says that the producers were moved by Boyles debut performance in the film “The Christmas Candle” which they happened to see as an inflight movie while location scouting for the next Bond epic. While producers were busy watching Boyle, Mendes was catching up with “12 Years A Slave” and as a result wanted Chiwetel Ejiofor for the part.
The source states that once producers saw Boyles performance they knew at that point that was the direction they wanted to take. As a result its been a tough time trying to find a director to step into the chair vacated by Oscar winning director Mendes.
Another source who delivers hot tea and sandwiches to the Eon Production offices in London confirmed to us that he overheard a conversation between Bond producers and some lady who works in the office that there was a problem hiring another high quality Oscar winning director because they didn’t want to be the one who didn’t make a Bond film as good as SKYFALL. The source later overheard the producers ask the lady who works in the office to get that bloke who directed Die Another Day on the phone.
If thisrumour is correct then we can only hope that director Lee Tamahori will make the lead villain invisible this time around instead of the Aston Martin.
In related news, Alan Halsall, better known as Coronation Street's Tyrone, has been cast as the villain's henchman. Product placement to come from Cadburys and PG Tips. Meanwhile, Newton and Ridley are reportedly in negotiations to become Bond's beer of choice in a new 18 film deal.
