#1 is Leon/The Professional
#2 is Black Swan
She was fantastic in both. :)
V for Vendetta
Black Swan
She´s great in it, but I´m a little annoyed by the character she plays.
That is true as far as I have seen her.
Your loss, sir, your loss.
But i stil must see Closer (2004) and some others (or re-watching).
Anyway, I'd have to vote for V for Vendetta.
I quite like it, but sometimes I feel like Arronofsky is a little too ´inspired´ by Roman Polanski and various Japanese directors, as in this film. At times it felt like a watered down version of Repulsion or The Tenant, in my opinion. But there´s constant tension, great acting, etc. Still very much worth the watch. (:
</b>Is Avatar (still) the very best in CGI filmmaking?</font>
The best lasting CGI impressions I would say are from Jurassic Park and T2, because in those two films the CGI even nowadays still blends in nicely into the realistic-looking suroundings.
Avatar may have been ground-breaking in the amount of CGI used. But given the painting-like look of many elements, I wouldn´t say it ever was ground-breaking in the sense of realistic-looking CGI.
I´m not sure how ironic you are right now, I always was amazed how well the film flies despite its bad CGI ;-).
Six thousand droids vs. six thousand clones in Star Wars Episode II fits that bill quite well.
</b>How do you feel about Kevin Smith?</font>
However, I do like Smith as a human being. I have watched his "Evening With Kevin Smith" DVD's more frequently than his movies and I love his cameo in Die Hard 4.
Even more than that, I'm a fan of his work for the Batman comic books. Cacophony and The Widening Gyre are great efforts, IMO. For people who have read tons of Batman comics, these two are exceptionally amusing.
Smith is an okay man in my book. I can dig his kind of humour but I have yet to see a Smith movie that I'd give five stars (out of five).
