    The DN jacket and the GF tux, I do know are exact replicas, made for the show.
    The show does tell you which items have been recreated, so you are never wondering, but the vast majority are real deal

    ....Is today. It starts with a documentary about Bond, which I found interesting enough to watch for the full 45 minutes, which in turn gave me too little time to see the full exhibition. What I didn't know was the dedication of Mc Clory to James Bond. it's the first time I learned so much about the affairs. And Pierce laughing out loud because of the tsunami-surfing. Still, you wonder. if he himself thought it was over the top, why didn't he do something abourt it?

    What is there to see? a lot! The golden gun (original), Goldfinger's jacket (made after the original), gadgets and items from Q branch (yes, his mug is there too, as is the PPK), clothing (bikini's), the DB5, screenplays, set drawings, a lot. I really liked it. Especially the Bernard Lee painting. I took just a few pics, you can see them here: http://instagram.com/kruimel007
    Only the beer one isn't Bond related.

    Thanks for the update, CommanderRoss! How I would have loved to have seen this exhibit! Thanks very much for the pictures. :)

    P.S., for another thread, another discussion, but since you mentioned it briefly - we really do not know how much Pierce did or did not try to get stupid humor, ridiculous dialog, or awful CGI out of DAD. From what we have learned, I think (so don't shoot me), Daniel has a tighter contract than Pierce did, giving him more say so in some things.

    true, it just struck me as an interesting question. It was a documentary with more interesting facts I hadn't realised before. I didn't know Pierce was that close to becoming Bond instead of Tim. So his run was unfortunate in the sense that it had a troublesome start and a troublesome finish. I did feel for him there.

    There's some more on Lazenby and how he lived then and why he did what he did too. fascinating stuff really.

    I didn't know Conners spoke to Cubby just before he died either. that was touching. I hope this documentary will come out on dvd some time (or may be, perhaps anyone who knows which one it is) for I'd certainly like to own a copy.

    I hadn't heard that about Pierce laughing at the DAD cgi. We didn't get that film in T.O. We had no film, accompanying the exhibit.
    Would like to see it. It should turn up on youtube, I would imagine.
    I did know that Broz was first choice over Dalts back in 87, but his Remington Steele contract got in the way.

    That last bit I knew, but I didn't know they were so late it was even announced in the press allready that he'd be Bond. He was on his way to the press conference when they called him.

    I'm planning to go quite soon in Rotterdam's Kunsthal (probably at the end of January) and I'll try to give my feedback if it's possible. However, I've already been told that pictures aren't allowed inside. But there's the DB5 outside where you can take pics. That's what they said by e-mail...

    Well that's true, but as you can see above I did take some pictures inside as wel. And while I did someone was filming the whole collection without any of the staff stopping him. I guess it's the flashlights they don't want. Or the staff are not well instructed. I kept my pictures to a minimum, but if I can and there's a chance, I'll go again and won't constrain myself.

    Went there again yesterday with my dad and brother. Had some more time to look around, but this time they were far more looking out for those who take pictures. Anyway, one item you'll find in the 'casino'room is the actual film-faberge egg. that's one I found very entertaining to see. And just to put this into historic perspective, March last year they found another one:
