If only Double Bills were a thing, these days. They should've put Blood Father and Mechanic: Resurrection back to back.

Johnnie To is a genius, I haven't seen everything from him, but 'The Mission', 'PTU' and 'Breaking News' are fantastic films.

In other news, Liam Neeson has started filming the latest true-story political/thriller film 'Felt':

And here's one of the first official pic of Liam Neeson as General Douglas MacArthur in the South Korean war film 'Operation Chromite':

I'd see that Mechanic sequel all in the hopes that Michelle Yeoh gets a chance to beat up Statham in it. I bet she could take him, and then some. ;)

Those movies are awesome. You should definitely check out the rest of his action stuff, especially Exiled. Bullets fly like swarming butterflies. Right now I'm in the process of downloading Election 1 and 2.

Let's hope so. For Neeson AND Scorsese; two of the finest working today.

@0BradyM0Bondfanatic7 I don't want to excite you too much, but from people 'in-the-know', Neeson's performance is so good his Oscar win (let alone nomination) is slam-dunk already.

@DaltonCraig007, it certainly looks like a truly transformative role for him. I also can't wait to see what Andrew Garfield's performance is like, and I wouldn't be surprised if he got a Supporting Actor nomination for this. He's one of the best young talents working today, and I'm sure Scorsese gave him a lot to play with here.

@0BradyM0Bondfanatic7 Andrew Garfield could get tons of nominations in this year's award season, as he's also the lead actor in Mel Gibson's 'Hacksaw Ridge'.

Do we know what the story of that film is? Seems interesting.

From imdb: ''WWII American Army Medic Desmond T. Doss, who served during the Battle of Okinawa, refuses to kill people and becomes the first Conscientious Objector in American history to be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.''

I didn't know where to put these, I hope this thread is okay. This concerns Bond, too, of course, plus it's relevant in the movie business on the whole nowadays. Nothing new, really, but some of this stuff has been discussed here and maybe some people are interested in reading...

The MCU is the biggest film franchise. Many film franchises have outrun Bond so many times... Harry Potter (which I'm never a fan of) for one.

I don't think they've inflation adjusted those numbers, which disadvantages Bond.
