FB2 set for November 2018.
Quote:
With Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them just a little over three months away from hitting theaters, Warner Bros. has announced its plans for a sequel, which the studio has dated for Nov. 16, 2018.
Not surprised WB released this news today.
First official image of 'Allied'. Trailer soon?

I hope so. I'm really looking forward to that film; Zemeckis is one of my favorite directors.
Oh yes please. Silence is my most anticipated film of the year.
NB: I can recommend watching this with headphones on and at a decent volume
Recommended. :D
Good idea when I get home ill put my brand new surround sound headphones on, the fly over I guess sounds impressive.
Soldiers standing.
Only one starting at the air.
Everyone else pretends like war is a regular day for them.
Suddenly they all start running away.
Like mute the sound and put the Seinfeld theme song in the back and you'll get what I'm trying to say..
I love Nolan but I am not a big fan of war movies. I can't judge this movie based off the teaser, so let's hope it doesn't disappoint
If you didn't like it, fine. But why the hell would one - even theoretically - mute the sound and put on some inappropriate music instead (especially since the the original sound is perfect and fitting - and in the case of the Stuka sirens it is essential)? "Pretending"? What were the guys supposed to be doing? A bunch of probably very tired young men in close proximity, some presumably in a state of shock barely knowing what the hell was happening, waiting and hoping to be rescued from a desperate situation, but not actually able to do much anything else at that point except wait. Real life people react in different ways to many things, including traumatic events or danger, just like different people react in different ways when they get drunk; some withdraw into themselves, some become boisterous. In a situation like those guys were, it would have been weird if all had behaved in the same manner or reacted at the same time and in the exact same way - in reality people don't. And yes, they were standing, but no, they were not "running away" at any point, as there was obviously no room for that, and there was nowhere to go.
That teaser is quite impressive, but it wouldn´t be new with Nolan that the teasers or trailers mesmerize and the film sucks.
I don´t trust it at all.
The idea of trusting a teaser is a new concept to me. I have never bought any movie tickets based on a teaser. (I would have bought tickets for this without seeing even a teaser, as soon as it was announced last year. But that's a different thing.) I have liked Nolan's previous teasers, too, but then I've liked the movies, as well - to different extent, for sure, but none of them have sucked for me.
I don't "trust" even trailers, teasers even less. I just happened to like this teaser a lot. But I trust the director to know that I will certainly at least want to see the movie. (He isn't the only one, but there aren't many.) A great DP and a couple of my fave actors make me wanna see it as well. Plus the subject matter actually interests me. Even if the teaser (and later trailer), and poster for that matter, all sucked, I'd still want to see the movie.
I certainly wouldn't recommend trusting teasers or even trailers - they can be very deceptive indeed. (They are ads, after all.) So you're on the right track there. :) You'll need to find something more trustworthy, or just skip the movies...
To compare: I loved the Spectre teaser, disliked later trailers and so moderated my expectations, disliked the poster, too. But it was a Bond movie, so of course I had to see it, how could I not. Also had one of my fave actors - I'd have seen him in a non-Bond movie as well. Didn't really like the movie all that much, but there was never a question for me of would I see it or not.
That looks quite good. But it's from John Moore, so you can never be sure.
