The cast would be outstanding in a Bond film (Fassbender, Irons & Cotillard).
(There hasn't been a Pitch Black 4 yet, has there?)
Looks like an expection, rather than the rule, when it comes to video game-to-film adaptions.
Don't let Vin Diesel hear you. :-$
At the premier of 'Jack Reacher 2', Tom Cruise was questioned on his upcoming films... meaning 'Mission Impossible 6'. He hinted at an 'insane' stunt, saying that there's a couple of things in this new M:I film that he's been training for a couple of years to be able to do, so that it'll be 'wild for audiences to see it on the screen'.
@DaltonCraig007, apparently a stunt was so crazy it was cut from MI5 as they couldn't do it at the time of filming safely. I bet that is the one Tom is teasing there.
First look at Hugh Jackman in Logan (2017)
And then that Logan pic!
@bondjames, you think Tom is going out with the next one? I don't know. I think he'll get in at least one more after this, if not two.
It's hard to tell, but, as talented and capable as he is even at his increasing age, a time will come for him soon where he'll have to bow out of the franchise, and after that, who knows what will happen. I can't see the studio letting it die even if it's without him. Maybe Tom's Hunt will return as an M figure like Phelps in MI1 to be a sort of mentor type for a new team?
@DaltonCraig007, I don't really see Cruise acting in the same capacity in MI7 if he's back for that. More than likely he will transition, as @Brady notes, to a Phelps type figure. He's actually been doing that increasingly of late (first in GP and more so in RN - just hearing his voice on the mic directing Benji into the Opera in Vienna made me think that this is where he's headed).
@ClarkDevlin, that's an interesting idea. They could even bring back Jon Voight for one last hurrah. He's still going strong.
