That's cool. You learn something new every day. I surmised it was somewhere exotic to me, because the film trailers @M_Balje posts are for older movies in the U.S., and they get them later on.

I've only just seen this trailer now. JCVD is the villain? [-X They should have gotten rid of that Hemsworth kid (I didn't know who he was so I had to check his IMDB*) and go for the full 80's/90's action film feel. He's 22. He was still in school when the likes of JCVD, Arnie, Willis, Lundgren, Norris were kicking serious backside.

    * Oh wow. Hasn't he achieved soo much in the action genre?

I feel the same way as some of you do about Hemsworth. I had to look him up and turns out he became famous for being in Neighbours, and has made basically no action films.

There are plenty of other 80s/90s stars that would've been better. And if they really wanted a younger actor, why not pick somebody who is actually in action films?

Hemsworth just looks entirely out of place in the film. Even then, why not get his older brother, Chris Hemsworth? He's bigger, seven years older, and a lot more popular: Thor, Snow White and the Huntsman, Rush, and The Avengers.

But, I will say this: I would pick any younger 'action' actor in this film - any of them - before they throw in Taylor Lautner.

Here's the second TV spot for 'Total Recall':

Christian Bale speaks about doing a fourth Batman film:

"My understanding is that this is the last one. I think it's appropriate, I think it's going out at the right time. But… if Chris came to me with a script and said, 'You know what? There is another story', then I would love the challenge of making a fourth one work."

We've seen nothing of Jill (outside of on set videos) so far, so here's hoping that we will in the new trailer. [-O<

@MajorDSmythe, I agree. The first trailer they released somewhat came and what, and didn't really reveal anything. I'm hoping this is a long, full trailer that shows us more of what to expect.

But then again, I'm guessing the former trailer I'm speaking of was the teaser, haha.

Given how Jill is going to be (one of ) the antagonists in the film, I think it's almost a certainly that Jill will be in the trailer. I just hope that in the finished film, they haven't done something stupid like, oh I don't know... kill Jill.

I would enjoy it if the protagonists manage to:
remove the thing clutching her chest, so they could bring her back on their side. But, with such a device, the whole good guy and bad guy thing seems like a never ending race.

That's how I would like it to play out. But I have a nasty feeling that it isn't going to go that way.

Same here, @MajorDSmythe. I'm looking forward to seeing it in theaters, but for now, I'll take this upcoming trailer.

And speaking of upcoming trailers, when are we going to get one for Taken 2? The film is due out in four months, I figured we would have seen more than a few production stills by now.

I keep forgetting that Taken 2 is happening. I don't think they should bother with another film. Taken works so well because nobody expected Neeson to make a pure action film, it caught everyone by surprise. If it had been made 30 years earlier, it would have been a cracking 1970's action thriller for Robert Mitchum. B-)

Less than that, it appears: October 5th.

And yes, I agree: it's one of those films that came out of nowhere, everyone loved it, made a ton of money at the box office, and should have been left where it was. Granted, I'll still end up seeing the new one in theaters, but I'm none too crazy about the premise - I know he could have given his daughter fighting lessons after the events of the first film, but I hope they just make it easy for the audience to believe that she knows what she is doing - and am coming to terms with the fact that it probably won't be as good as the first.

Though it's very possible that Bryan taught Kim some self defense skills, Bryan had a long career to hone his skills (Bryan puts it best in his classic speech), Kim has had 5 years. I will see Taken 2, as i'm an action junkie but I seriously doubt that this will be anywhere near as enjoyable as the first film.

Wow, five years? It's hard to believe (now that I've put it into perspective) that it's been that long since I purchased my ticket to see the first one in theaters. Very entertaining experience that was worth every penny.

I do hope they stick to the roots of the first one, and don't make it something entirely different or bizarre that takes away from what everyone loved so much about the first one. It's the simplicity in it, along with the casting, that made the film so great, and I literally give the same explanation to anyone I recommend it to who has yet to see it: "It's about 90 minutes of Liam Neeson killing bad guys. What more do you need to know?"

I hope the daughter saves Neeson quickly so he can start punching and shooting people again.

I heard something along the lines of this happens, could be considered a spoiler for Taken 2:
Bryan is on assignment in Istanbul, and after he and Lenore are taken, Kim escapes via car chase, and then returns to help Bryan escape. I surmise Lenore and Kim are kept in separate places, and I'm not sure what happens to Kim at this point.

Zachary Levi to play Fandral in 'Thor 2':

Hugh Laurie set to play the villain in the 'Robocop' remake. The casting is already looking phenomenal:

Today was a pretty troubling day in terms of films with problems. I hope World War Z pulls through; The Lone Ranger, I want to see more of it, first.

I thought John Carter sunk big. How can it afford two sequels?

It seems our very own Marc Forster is at fault with some of the issues. Such a shame.

I was refering to The Lone Ranger and World War Z maybe going the same way. Hence my John Carter comparison.
