My advice? Stop production, now. No Uncharted film could possibly match the games. And while I haven't played A Thief's End, it sounds like that game was a fitting end for the series. So we don't need any more Uncharted games or any film... go and play the games.

Yeah it's a tricky thing to make a movie based on a game that's essentially a movie itself.
    What does one do?

Metal Gear is in the same boat.

And the whole point of the games, is that we (the player) are involved in the action scenes. With a film, we are just watching what is going on, not taking part in it.

I'm very excited for the new pirates film. They seem to be getting worse though With on stranger tides being kind of shit

Last I checked, the new one already had a 32% rating on RT. Not sure that'll damage the box office too heavily, unless people are genuinely tired of the series now. Time will tell.

The Universal Monsters franchise is now titled 'Dark Universe':

I have seen the first four, and only particularly like The Curse of the Black Pearl - which is a really good film. Found Dead Man's Chest to be okay, so-so on World's End (heavily flawed, but some good moments), and disliked On Stranger Tides. I'll probably end up watching the fifth one at some point just to see it, but I'm not expecting much.

First look at Why We’re Killing Gunther. The film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as the titular character, a guy who happens to be the world’s greatest hitman. But his success has made him an unbearably arrogant jackass who’s constantly rubbing it in the faces of his hitman brethren. They eventually decide that they’re tired of dealing with his obnoxious behavior and team up to take him out. But Gunther didn’t become the best without reason, and he remains ahead of them every step of the way.

The film also features Cobbie Smulders, Hannah Simone, Allison Tolman.

    This sounds pretty fun!

The Uncharted movie already lost me....bad casting choice...it sounds like they're trying to make sort of a prequel to the games which is sorta cool since that way the movie won't be direct adaptation of the games...but idk, I wanted a grown up version of the character..

btw I am hyped for The Mummy even tho i have no expectations so I want to be positively surprised. The reason why I'm hyped is not this movie per-se but seeing how Universal is so much going All in with this universe and they have great actors....so idk I hope I like the movie altough I am pretty sure the critics will hate it...

Also I am seeing the new Pirates of the caribbean movie this Wednesday so I am hyped for that as well
Special thanks to @DaltonCraig007 for this one!! :D

Considering how illogic and ill-informed many reviews are, it would be a good thing if no review ever had any influence on box office results. King Arthur Legend of the Sword is below 30% on RT, yet it is a decent enough film, as opposed to Alien Covenant, which is around 76% or so. Ridiculous.

It appears James Wan will produce the first of six 'Resident Evil' movies, which will be scripted by Greg Russo and contain an all new cast:

Not surprising considering Wan's background in horror/thriller-type films. I have quite mixed feelings about him as a director and his films. All that being said I don't watch or play a lot of Resident Evil.

I still can't figure out if they're rebooting the W.S. Anderson series, or if the entire thing is a reboot and will possibly be closer to the game series.

There are plenty of game installments in the series that would make for an incredible movie.

Faithful adaptations of the original 3 games would be a dream come true for me.

I suppose it's not all that surprising they announced a reboot so soon, given the box office success of 'The Final Chapter.' They'd be dumb to do a reboot of that so soon, though, so unless it's an original story set in the world of RE, it's likely that it'll be an adaptation of one of the games.

EDIT: Jordan Peele's next social thriller gets a March 15th, 2019 release date:

If the reboot doesn't have anything to do with the main games then they should do something like the Resident Evil Outbreak games. Random citizens of Raccoon City trying to survive the crisis.

Sam Mendes may direct live-action version of 'Pinocchio':

Hopefully it pans out, whatever keeps him busy and far away from Bond.
  • Yes, Pinocchio would be a wonderful franchise for Mendes to **** up. I have no interest in Pinocchio whatsoever.

I'd like to see an update for the Coen Brothers "Dark Web" movie. I think the dark web/deep web is an extremely interesting topic that deserves a big movie, and the Coen Brothers are a great pick to direct it.

Regarding the Uncharted movie, am I the only one who thinks Robbie Amell would be PERFECT as Drake?

Can't say I recognize him from anything when I looked him up, but he DEFINITELY looks the role, that's for sure.

I'm a fan of Tony Scott, but it's one of the few of his films I've still yet to see.
