Another shocking statistic @DaltonCraig007. It's clear to me that the Chinese influence will become far more pervasive in every industry (not just movies) as time progresses. It's already there in the auto business (I am a car lover) with some truly outrageously poor (imho) designs coming out of Germany in particular that are targeting that market. Money talks. There was a time when everyone catered to the US tastes (cup holders and what not). Things are changing.

I await the recurring Chinese MI6 cast member with interest.

@bondjames Using the following figures from http://www.the-numbers.com/movie/budgets/ ...

    CBPIbsF.png

... then 'Wolf Warrior 2' is already the most profitable movie in history, and it only needed the Chinese market to achieve that. I compared it with Avatar and TFA, And 'Wolf Warrior 2' has earned over 20x its budget in China alone, while TFA and Avatar only managed around 10x their budget World Wide due to having budgets of over $200 million.

Amazing @DaltonCraig007. That kind of return on investment will definitely result in new thinking at Hollywood. It's a goldmine.

@bondjames, which German cars are you referring to specifically?

Anything out of BMW & Mercedes in particular @boldfinger. They have abandoned for the most part the form follows function unadorned Bauhaus style of the past. Many of their cars are overstylized and quite 'roundy' (for lack of a better word) these days. Mercedes CLA for example. At least where I live, I only see young Chinese guys driving that abomination (imho of course).

Audi still retains the simple, linear structured style, as does VW for the most part.

I always forget he did that one, given 'Boyhood' and the 'Before' trilogy are so night-and-day different compared to that one. Brilliant film.

Chastain is playing a bad girl again. They ignored her work on Miss Sloane due to the idiot politics. Hope they recognize her for this.

PS: Elba is oozing charisma here. He will be noticed.

@bondjames It's also always a pleasure to see Costner in these sort of thriller movies. The guy has a ton of charisma - and so does Elba, as you've pointed out.

@DaltonCraig007, I didn't even notice Costner in that trailer. My bad. My eyes were glued to Chastain.

@bondjames I can't fault you there, my friend. Chastain is a total beauty. ;)

Agreed. Excellent cast and it looks quite lavish and creepy. I'll surely be seeing this.

RE Super Troopers: That's isn't the release date I was expecting. I was expecting it to be released right me-ow. I can't believe it has been that long since the first film.
