Those are good examples of when he's an ensemble player, but Trophic Thunder - the most recent of those is now ten years old. Look at what he's done since: Knight and Day, Jack Reacher, Edge of Tomorrow, etc. If he suddenly should take on a role in an ensemble effort like Inglourious Basterds or The Hateful Eight now, that would be a nice change.
Haha! For what it's worth, I was shocked to see Tropic Thunder was ten years old already! :-O
Red Notice, the next action flick for Dwayne Johnson, from the same director he worked with on Central Intelligence and Skyscraper, has set its target on a June 12, 2020 release.
A sequel to the 2017 Hong-Kong action film Shock Wave has been greenlighted. Lead star Andy Lau will return, and so will the director of the 1st film.

Actually, it reminds me of Come and Find Me (2016). Only done in a comedic manner rather than a mystery thriller.
