Why, God, Why ? (yes, I know it's from another musical, but...). Ah, well, it's by Steven Spielberg, so...

I have no need to see an inferior remake but that cinematography is fantastic.

t’s been quite a while since I’ve enjoyed a Spielberg film, but I have to say, this looks promising.

The 1961 film is as perfect as the story gets, I'd imagine, but I have to admit this one is a bit enticing. I might have to see it at some point.

I am not that invested in Romeo and Juliet, I much prefer Shakespeare's Richard II, Richard III and Macbeth.

I've seen the original several times, my daughter loves it, and have always enjoyed it. I do have an interesting reaction to one element; for some reason I find the dance and musical sequences that were filmed on the actual city streets silly looking. I don't want to laugh but they make me chuckle every time. In contrast I love the portions that are filmed in the studio. From this teaser it looks like Spielberg has made the film more visually cohesive than the original.

Oof, that looks rough. How Nick Cannon continues to be cast in stuff, I'll never understand.

Think they are attempting to go for a Fast and Furious type film with The Misfits, I had no idea Harlin was still directing films.

The Protégé directed by Martin Campbell (Goldeneye, Casino Royale) with Maggie Q, Samuel Jackson, Michael Keaton, Robert Patrick and Patrick Malahide (Twine). Cinematographer from Die Another Day. From writer of The Equalizer 1&2 and Jack Reacher Never Go Back.

Damn right, that looks incredible. I’m confident that he could go 3 for 3 with Bond.
What is the song used in the trailer?

Got it, Amy Winehouse... No Good

I really, really hope he manages to start off the next era again. That looks pretty damn solid, he has such a way with shooting action that I really admire.

I thought the first was all right, but found the second dreadful so never bothered with the third.

They need a truly intimidating “ The Kurgan”
Jason Momoa would be awesome; he’s physically imposing and can bring a maniacal performance.

Good shout, Clancy Brown is not easy shoes to fill, yesterday I was thinking of who could possibly play Ramirez, no actor has immediately come to mind.

Back in the day I was a huge fan of Queen's music and I know Highlander as well as any movie, Cavill's possible casting and the director of John wick helming is the best thing I have heard since a reboot was discussed, this has a lot of potential though I don't want them to do a cut and paste copy of the Original.

I would not be surprised if the likes of Ian McShane or Ron Perlman end up having a role in this film.

Brosnan or Liam Neeson as Ramirez?

    Oh yes! To either.

I was talking to a friend from this site on this I am fine with a new Highlander film and I like Henry Cavill as the new Macleod (not my first choice but hey maybe Adrian turner will be bond) but I don’t want a remake I would prefer a reboot and a new story if you want to show his first death at the battle of Glenn finnen again ok fine but I don’t need a new Rameriez or Kurgan or Fazil etc

I would prefer Connor Or Duncan or Owen or whom ever he is playing to have new adventures again we are looking at a world similar to 007 where the reality and events are the same as our world but there is someone who saw it all he saw the American revolution and 9/11

There is so much interesting history that they could write about and include
