I wish they'd stay away. Really, they're films already.

@boldfinger, it seems with the 'Taken' series, we're getting more films with older actors who are trying to save someone by use of their old skills from some military job. This one doesn't excite me at all.

@Samuel001, exactly. Just like when news hit of them doing a 'Heavy Rain' film...why? It's already a film that you're playing. That, or when the one studio bought up the rights to 'Dead Island' based on one trailer, and then the game was released to mediocre reviews.

The Uncharted film wont be a match for the games. What makes the games such exhilarating experiences, is that we are involved in what's happening onscreen. We are not just sitting in front of the screen watching.

While I'm obviously against the Uncharted film, I have hope that since it is going into production, it will be worthy of the brand name. I don't know who they have in mind for casting, but I think Bradley Cooper would make a great Nathan Drake.

I was thinking someone more left field. Jason Bateman perhaps? He can certainly do that dry, sardonic humour.

Nathan Fillion would be my ideal Nathan Drake.

I did have to double check, but they have actually made this!!

WARNING: Features bad language and downright nasty beaverness:

Great Tagline though: "You'll Be Dammed" ;-)

That was actually the first thing I thought of when I read your clip post. Amazing how pop culture conditionizes people ;-)...

Funny you all brought that up, I'm watching the third 'Naked Gun' film right now.

"Like a blind man at an orgy, I was going to have to feel things out."

It's a shame they're rebooting the trilogy with Ed Helms starring. Such a bad idea.

I was going to comment on Zombeavers but someone beat me to it ;)

You can't reboot Naked Gun. That's a fact. Frank Drebin died along with Leslie.

    The Zombeavers poster...

I could sit here and rip the film apart, but to tell you the truth, I'm curious (famous last words)...

Sabotage looks rather bad. Will probably wait until the DVD.

I imagine that somewhere in an office in Hollywood, the pitch for this film must have gone like this:

Man in suit 1: "We've had Piranha 3D and 3DD and we've had Snake on a Plane. What else hasn't been done yet?"

Man in suit 2: "Err, zombie beavers?"

Man in suit 1: "Brilliant. But what shall we call it?"

Man in suit 2: "Err, Zombeavers?"

Man in suit 1: "Excellent. Green light this film. NOW!!!!"

I had no problem with the Piranha films (thanks to Shue & Panabaker), and Snakes On A Plane had that line. I want to be there for the Seagullconda pitch.

"Well, it's the offspring of a Seagull and an Anaconda." / "Ok, here's 10k, make it happen."

Loved her in Adventures in Babysitting ;-)

I want to say I liked her in Leaving Las Vegas but that film was pretty brutal. Probably one of the few great films that's left me feeling utterly depressed after watching it.

I'm partial to Elisabeth Shue. And Adventures In Babysitting also features Penelope Ann Miller. That's two-for-one.

    And Vincent D'Onofrio :-)

Interestingly, that was filmed in the same year as Full Metal Jacket. His transformation from fat to muscle in those two films is incredible.

    Further casting for 'The Cell'...

The long in-development adaptation of Stephen King’s zombie tech-horror story CELL is now underway, in production in Atlanta under the direction of PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2′s Tod Williams and reuniting 1408 (another King adaptation) co-stars John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson. As the European Film Market chugs along, news comes of two other genre favorites also joining the ensemble.

Variety reports ORPHAN’s Isabelle Fuhrman and the great Stacy Keach (THE NINTH CONFIGURATION, BODY BAGS) will co-star in CELL. Furhman “plays a teenage neighbor of Cusack’s Clay Riddell character who joins him and Jackson’s Tom McCourt character on their journey to safety,” while Keach will essay the headmaster of a prep school where the survivors stop for refuge.

CELL, King’s 2006 novel, tells the story of an apocalypse spread through our phones.

With the casting off Cusack, I was already interested, but now that Keach has joined the cast, my interest has doubled.
