It seems production on the action/thriller film 'American Assassin' is starting to pick up pace. It is directed by former 'Homeland' producer & director, Michael Cuesta, and features Michael Keaton.
Keaton in a major role in an action movie made by someone who had a big hand in creating 'Homeland'? Take my money now!
EDIT: Found some sort of synopsis:
The movie follows Cold War veteran Stan Hurley (Keaton), who would be the most feared training officer in the CIA if more than a handful of people at the agency actually knew of his existence. As the story begins, Hurley’s deputy director tasks him with training a black ops recruit devastated by the loss of his fiancée to a terrorist attack. The pair is eventually dispatched on a joint mission with a lethal Turkish agent to stop a mysterious operative from starting World War III in the Middle East.
I say again: take my money now!

Sorry, couldn´t resist ;-).
Open Road Films has announced a February 24, 2017 release date for their action thriller Sleepless, starring Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Django Unchained) and Golden Globe-nominee Michelle Monaghan (Source Code, “True Detective”).
Directed by Baran Bo Odar, Sleepless stars Foxx as undercover Las Vegas police officer Vincent Downs, who is caught in a high stakes web of corrupt cops and the mob-controlled casino underground. When a heist goes wrong, a crew of homicidal gangsters kidnaps Downs’ teenage son. In one sleepless night he will have to rescue his son, evade an internal affairs investigation and bring the kidnappers to justice.
The film also stars Gabrielle Union (Top Five, Bad Boys II), rapper T.I. (Ant-Man), Dermot Mulroney (The Grey, Mozart in the Jungle), Scoot McNairy (Batman Vs Superman, Argo) and David Harbour (Suicide Squad, End Of Watch).
The screenplay was written by Andrea Berloff (World Trade Center, Straight Outta Compton) and serves as a remake of the French film Nuit Blanche, directed by Frédéric Jardin, and written by Jardin, Olivier Fox and Nicolas Saada.

1. 'Nuit Blanche' is one of my favorite French films of the last decade or so. Non-stop intense action scenes in a confined area (a nightclub) for 90 minutes.
2. Does Jamie Foxx age? He looks the same as he did in the brilliant film 'The Kingdom', and that was 9 years ago!
We could post a screencap from Collateral, and he wouldn't look a day older today.
Oh good! I was afraid that was a rumor!
However, the action and CG looks stellar in that trailer. Doesn't seem like they really got the Animus/present day stuff down pat (though I suppose if it's original, that explains why there's so much seen that doesn't look familiar.) I'm in.
It looks great, apart from the yellow piss colouring in some CGI recreated scenes which reminds me of a certain film. This is a must see on day one for me just due to the actors.
That's what it was? Okay...
I like both actors, too, and the only reason I didn't see their Macbeth was that it never came to my neck of the woods. (Did you see that one?) The "video game adaptation" part makes me very suspicious, so I'm not sure. Gotta say that the Tom Hardy-Charlize Theron combo in an old franchise I had never cared for was a much easier sell to me, and there was no crap music, either. This I'd say is not a must for me, but I'll definitely consider just due to the actors. :)
Also agree that Kanye West totally ruins the whole trailer. Stop feeding his unwarranted megalomania.
@bondjames check it out (the trailer I posted a few comments earlier), this is going to receive some big nomination later this year, given an Ang Lee film always gets rave reviews, and he is a 2 times Best Director winner at the Oscars.
