Agreed Affleck should of been given a chance to do his solo film but oh well at least we have Robert Pattinson taking on 4 villains we saw before and 2 we haven’t... I guess

Take with a grain of salt. I thought MCU actors weren't allowed to be in DC films.

Kevin Conroy To Play Bruce Wayne in Crisis on Infinite Earths

    That's excellent!

I love Conroy. Despite the decent to good work of others (like Bader, O'Mara, Baker, Weller, Ruivivar, ...), Conroy remains THE voice of Batman for me.

It will be interesting to see Conroy play a live action Bruce, Brandon Routh is also appearing as Superman, no doubt there will be more surprises for Crisis on Infinite Earths

@MaxCasino If any of these are true... I'd prefer Giancarlo Esposito. Definitely not Jamie Foxx :/

    A rumor for now.

    https://wegotthiscovered.com/movies/pierce-brosnan-rumored-play-alfred-pennyworth-batman/

    I would be happy.

It was under Ben Affleck that Timothy Dalton was looked at for Alfred.

I would have loved to see Timmy D play Alfred, he would have been great! Not too sure about Brosnan though, especially as I quite liked Jeremy Irons in the role.

Michael Gough and Michael Caine are tough to beat as live-action Alfreds. I like Jeremy Irons as an actor, but he didn’t fit Alfred well IMO. I also have a hard time imagining Brosnan fitting the role well, even though I like him.

I have a bit of difficulty envisioning Brosnan as Alfred but I’m intrigued nonetheless. I still think Dalton would be absolutely perfect in the role though.

Of all the Bond actors, I definitely think Dalton is closest for Alfred.

I think Brosnan could be a great Alfred. He’s not too old, but could play the fatherly butler figure to Bruce Wayne / Batman.
Pattinson and Brosnan also have chemistry from ‘Remember Me’
I think Pierce has the right acting chops and character to do Alfred justice.
Tim Dalton would’ve been a great Alfred (and still could) much better than Jeremy Irons who was totally miscast. Fantastic actor no doubt. But not Alfred.

Wouldn't it make sense to keep Jeremy Irons?

I was under the impression that they were doing a soft reboot of the Batman films, where they bring in a younger actor but the world stays the same. much like how the older Roger Moore was 'rebooted' with a younger Timothy Dalton. but the supporting cast remained.

However......if Reeves plans to recast the supporting roles, then I have faith in him. If Irons isn't returning, then I would certainly be very excited for Pierce Brosnan taking that role.

Just seems odd to have him play Alfred, since he could have made a great Bruce Wayne at some point.

I actually found Irons to be perfectly cast in BvS, mainly because his version of Alfred suited the style and tone of the film. However, much like Affleck, his version of the character was completely bastardised in Justice League.

I'm intrigued by Brosnan as Alfred but like most here, I would say Dalton is probably a better fit.

I can't see Brosnan as Alfred. He doesn't look the part. He looks much more like an older Bruce Wayne than his butler. Don't forget, back in the 80s he was approached by Tim Burton for Batman but turned it down.

I think Brosnan has some potential to look the part. With some gray hair and beard or mustache, I get a bit of an Alfred vibe from him. I don't think all live action Alfreds need to sport male pattern baldness and that little mustache.

I find it tough to believe the Tim Burton movie is 30 years old! Can remember seeing that at the cinema when I was a kid!

I just watched the 2017 docu "Batman and Bill", which I can recommend to everyone who's interested in who created what in the Batman mythology. The well-established "sole creator of Batman", Bob Kane, has in more recent times been dethroned as such by fans digging up facts about Bill Finger, the one who was always in the shadows.

Marc Tyler Nobelman, whose graphic novel about Bill Finger I had already read prior to seeing this docu, explains in detail which clues he has assembled to shed some light on a more likely version of the truth than what Bob Kane had always upheld as such. In a way, this docu parallels an episode of Kevin Smith's 'Fat-Man On Batman' podcast in which Nobelman talked about this a few years ago after the publication of his book.

As a Batman fan who also loves a bit of real-life justice, I can only say that this 90-minute docu has moments that make me smile, moments that whet my eyes but most of all moments that remind me why I'm such a huge Batman fan. The likes Michael Uslan and Kevin Smith contribute through interviews, as do some of Finger's relatives. The docu is honest; it refrains from making false claims as it only talks about what can be verified, and it seeks neither sensation nor spectacle but merely a cleaner version of the facts than Kane's.

"Batman created by Bob Kane"? Or should it say, "Batman created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger"? Who came up with the design for the suit, the name Gotham City, the moniker "Dark Knight", Catwoman, Riddler, ...? If you're a Batman fan, you owe it to Bill Finger to know about him, get your facts straight and henceforth pay deference to a dynamic but difficult duo, rather than to just the one man who got his face on magazines.

@DarthDimi, I hope you've read the interview with Bill Finger I posted on here a while back. If not, you'll find it most interesting!

In other bat-news, today marks the premiere release of Batman Beyond on Blu-Ray.
