The name's 25. Bond 25, or rather, it's NTTD.

    @Thunderball
    Quantum of Solace

Quantum is a small amount of something, and solace means comfort

filmstories.co.uk: "Exclusive: how MGM kept the No Time To Die title hidden"
    https://filmstories.co.uk/news/exclusive-how-mgm-kept-the-no-time-to-die-title-hidden/

Interesting story - what I'm wondering is whether that proves the "A Reason To Die" leak to be false, or whether that title was also registered and the producers just were not sure which one to choose.

Just because it's been used doesn't mean it's overused: it's barely anywhere at the moment. The Spectre logo was based on Gotham I believe: now there's an overused font :)
And the NTTD is indeed, as cool as hell :)

You can expect to see that font being used everywhere from now on though!

I was thinking Semper Occultus is sort of an interesting possible title: it’s MI6’s motto, meaning ‘Always Secret’. I prefer the Latin version, and it has that slightly weird feeling of something like Quantum of Solace and just feels vaguely threatening somehow.

Otherwise Charlie Higson came up with a fun one on the most recent Smershpod episode:
    Come Die With Me :)

Semper Occultus is an interesting title. Not heard of that before.

As for the second title I think maybe Charlie Higson has been watching too much Channel 4! ;)

Made me laugh though! It’s only just slightly too ridiculous :)

We should get this thread going again, maybe someone could change the thread title?

Here's a couple I quite like (can't remember if I mentioned them before!)

    CROSS YOUR HEART
If you follow to the end of the saying it turns quite Bondy, plus 'heart' feels rather Flemingish to me.

    A couple from the films:
Based on a saying as used in the YOLT trailer- 'You Only Live Twice, and twice is.."

    THE ONLY WAY TO DIE

    And my personal favourite:

    NAMES ARE FOR TOMBSTONES

:D I really think it works!

Leafing through the thread I found a suggestion from someone else:
    PERCHANCE TO DIE

which I quite like. Obviously the 'Die' titles get a bit old, but I like that one.

One I thought of back in '98 was ONCE AND FOR ALL, named after the villain's determination to kill James Bond.

    There's another thread here too:

I like that! I can imagine Fleming using that, it's got a nice touch of bitterness to it and it's a nice 'shape' if you know what I mean.

Thanks for the link, hard to find things on this site.

I do wonder why those comics use such dreadful titles: it's not impossible to come up with something which sounds vaguely Bond-ish. 'Kill chain'- I don't get it.
