Based on the teaser poster, it appears that Bond's tuxedo features both a shawl collar and the rare & unusual turnback cuffs. Very retro. Next time I'm in the market for a tux, this is exactly the suit I'm getting.

If I'm not mistaken, it's a thing Tom Ford uses as he's very fond of them in his dinner suits. Craig had them both on his QOS dinner suit.

@DeerAtTheGates speaks the truth. Per The Suits of James Bond, the "dinner jacket is a midnight blue one-button, shawl collar model, with jetted pockets and double vents, and even the gauntlet cuffs (now with five buttons instead of four)."
  • Judging by the trailor and publicity shots, they are continuing to dress Craig in those appalling tight ‘Honey I Shrunk The Kids’ Ford suits for his formal appearances.
What’s more, they top them off with the most ugly accessory - the tie bar !
Why on Earth they insist on dressing him like a middle manager or an extra from ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ is developing into one of the great mysteries of our time.
Surely to God they could have got him a decent tailor - PussyNoMore’s man at A&S would have seen him right.
Happily, the casual wardrobe looks more interesting and the suit he is wearing on the motorcycle may hold promise but The Pussy fears we may be in for another string of Ford styling faux pas.

wow! I've got to get a pair of those. I just hope Adidas don't do something daft like a limited edition with only a limited pair available, so the chances of buying them are zero, other than forking out a grand on ebay for a pair.
  • Jetset Willy,
Surely no self respecting Bond aficionado would be seen stiff wearing a pair of plimsolls with 007 on them ?

I just picked this up, a nice alternative to the military sweater we see in NTTD. I wasn't expecting much and was pleasantly surprised at the quality. I suggest going a size smaller than usual:

I think Craig is the best dressed Bond of the entire series, both as the character and in every day life, IMO. Connery is a close second. Given my profession, I’m in a suit every day. I’m fortunate enough to get my suits made-to-measure and each one I have is an exact copy of Craig’s Tom Ford O’Connor suits which he wears in both Skyfall and Spectre. I also wear tab collars and cocktail cuffs on a daily basis. I might’ve have liked SP as a film but I personally feel that it’s the most stylish film in the series with regards to Bonds outfits. Goldfinger and Thunderball are also highlights of Bond’s fashion in the franchise. You feel that since CR Craig’s influence on the dress sense of Bond has increased and it’s looking as though in NTTD his wardrobe almost mirrors Craig’s personal style.

I would agree. I’m in a suit every day and Craig's Bond is certainly an influence.

I wish Bond would go back to a Rolex though. Omega is far too cheap and mainstream.

Does the bucket on your head also go with your profession, or is that just personal preference?

Compared to a like for like Rolex.....yes. Spending £9k on an Omega is madness IMO when you can buy a better classic Rolex. Omegas aren’t special or ‘upper crust’.....Rolex’s are IMO.

Is this true? Haven’t Omega innovated on movements at all? Besides the submariner I’d take an Omega over anything else. It was on the moon for God’s sake.
I suppose I don’t know enough about watches.

Omega has done far more in terms of innovation then Rolex. I much prefer Rolex then Omega as to me, while Rolex has the prestige, it's Omega that produce the better watch, IMO. While I am in no way, shape or form stating that Rolex is a poor make of watch, the most innovative change they make is change the colour or precious metal of an existing model. Unlike Omega which is consistently bringing us new innovations in it's timepieces. The new Omega Seasmaster Professional (which Daniel Craig modelled for their official campaign) for example has a anti-magnetic co-axial movement, which is not only COSC certified but also METAS certified too! They are some of the best watches in the world with regards to innovation and accuracy, which is ultimately why you wear a watch.

I really like the N Peal Tactical Navy Sweater, as seen in the promotional images and posters from No Time To Die, and would like one, but there is no way I can justify spending £345 on it. Its not like a coat or jacket which I can wear everyday, its a fairly limited item of clothing, and as I wont be infiltrating enemy headquarters anytime soon....

I also really regret not buying the John Varvatos Suede Bomber Jacket, as worn by Craig in the third act of Spectre. They had them available in my side (M) for the RRP £449.99 but I didn't buy it (this was mid 2017-ish). Nowadays they are rarer than hens teeth, and those that do pop up are twice the price.

I recently purchased the RM Williams 'O' Ring Kangaroo Belt which Craig frequents in his daily life. Great buy!
  • I want to share with all of you this video that I edited about a compilation of James Bond's entrance to the Universal Export offices while he throws his trilby hat onto the coat tree.

    Let me know your opinion.

From where? I can only find it in the brand's store. It's sold out everywhere else. Oh, and what do you think of it? Is it stylish and comfortable?

On another note, and about Bond's baseball cap in NTTD, I said in 2006 that it was cool that we now had a Steve McQueen Bond. Little did I know. In CR and QOS, his beige trousers and shawl cardigan were pure McQueen. And now this. Who didn't spot the reference? :D

    Kings of cool!

This reminded me of the guys at the Bond suits and how they seem to LOATHE the current trend of tight suits. I got a good chuckle.

Well, I mean, either the guy in the short sleeve shirt is really tucking at the back of Becks' suit or it is indeed too tight. Style is style and whatever, but that just doesn't look good.
Or it's more from wearing it for a long time and putting his arm around the guy, making it ride up. Who knows.

I was watching this interview with Lindy Hemming last night.

    interesting exchange at 49 mins:

Interviewer: Does [going from Brosnan to Craig] create challenges or opportunities for you?
Hemming: Well I have to say, it was the last one I did, so that should tell you something.

I take it Craig had her replaced, as she goes on to say that he wanted a more modern look for Bond in the follow-ups.

That's a shame because Hemming was a godsend to this series. Brosnan was the only Bond who not once wore anything that didn't work on him. Casual or formal, everything Hemming gave him was immaculate. He looked natural in everything. Hemming also did well with Craig in CR, dressing him down somewhat while still making sure he looked stylish.

Craig's wardrobe in QOS good for the most part, but certain outfits he had like the white jeans and dark shirt in Haiti screamed, "I just got back from a haul at the AX outlet."

Then in Skyfall things really start to go awry, and they only got worse with each new movie. The tiny suits, the garish ensembles (barbour jacket and scarf, peacoat over a sweater and tie with leather gloves, the corduroy suit (WTF?), and of course this atrocity:
    https://www.bondsuits.com/the-duster-coat-with-two-shirts-for-norway-in-no-time-to-die/

If Craig indeed was instrumental in getting Hemming sacked, the producers should have stepped in and overruled him. By the time he was finished with the role, Bond didn't look like Bond anymore.
