I am hoping the new report that his daughters were NOT with him are correct.
This is such very heavy, terribly sad news.

His daughter Gianna was in the helicopter. Horrible.

As if Kobe's death was not surreal enough for me, it turns out my former baseball coach was also on that helicopter, along with his wife and daughter.

John Altobelli? Alyssa Attobelli and Gianna (Kobe’s daughter) were teammates. Here in New York, he is being remembered as having coached current MLB players (Aaron Judge, NY Yankees and Jeff McNeil, NY Mets).

It's been a rough couple of days for many.

I wouldve emergency landed even if it meant getting fired , somehow reminds me of Linate disaster where fog played a part

As for Terry Jones i will always remember him as Brians mom and in the "Say no more" skit , RIP :(

Just read that Claudine Auger has passed away! She was my favourite Bond Girl! A woman's woman if I ever saw one, and a true role model. Seriously Thunderball is the only Bond film I watch just for the woman. Such strength and power. I am so gutted! May she rest in peace!

RIP Nicholas Parsons, British tv personality who has passed away at the age of 96.
I remember seeing him on Sale of the Century with my grandparents when I was very young. He seemed to be getting on then, and that was early 80's.
  • It may not mean much to a lot of the folks on this site -- but Bob Shane, the final surviving founding member of the Kingston Trio, passed away yesterday. For people listening to folk music in the late '50s/early '60s, the Kingston Trio had a tremendous impact. Bob sang the lead on their breakout hit, "Tom Dooley." His passing is a sad moment for the world of music.

Thanks for the heads-up. I do remember hearing their version of “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?” when I was very young, although I think that the version sung by Peter, Paul and Mary was more popular.
