Just woke up early before work to catch this. Stunning!

And anybody who said the lack of Bond theme was a bad thing was wrong, the music was perfect

Well, I happen to love it when it blasts in a trailer. But it doesn't make or break it for me either. The trailer seemed so "the Bond we know is back" and my statement was made with that thought in mind :D

Cool teaser trailer. Well done to all the people involved in making it.

    :)

    Bond is definitely back.

And the 007 movies should not be hunting for easy large sum of money alone (by sacrificing qualities and good stories) but for a decent film which is what should deliver after the dreck called "Brosnan era".The producer meet those qualities with CR (IMO) and now hopefully with SKYFALL i hope 007 movies can manage both qualities and moneys (nomination is just secondary objective imo, which is good for the franchise).

I like it. Excellent stuff! Naturally it doesn't say much abt the movie. Reminded me of the teaser for CR back in 2006. A very good and safe teaser of SF for now. My favorite was him arriving by boat in a tux, epic Bond moment! I really hope the movie itself would be just as good as this teaser. Won't be long now till they wrap up filming and then we'll see a longer official trailer of the movie...

Absolutely fantastic trailer! All I can say is: All hail Roger Deakins! I have NEVER seen a Bond trailer with shots that looked so beautiful and stunning. You could literally take any shot from this trailer and hang it on your wall as a framed piece of artwork.

I imagine this will be one of the all-time great Bond films, but even if it’s not, I am confident it will be one of the all-time best LOOKING Bond films. Just gorgeous.

    Well done. Good work.

I suspect the FLASH-CUT (after Doctor asks "Skyfall?") of Bond approaching the dead (?) man in the chair is in Turkey -pre-titles - and -

-- Bond, back-lit, walking towards us down the dark corridor, is Bond approaching the "dead man's" apartment or rented room in the start of pre-title sequence - and could be the pre-title reveal of Bond - his face emerging from darkness.

    What do u think?

@ 1.15 there is also a very very fast shot of Bond in suit, open necked, with a gun, which I think is from the Silva's island sequence.

The underwater fight is, I'm pretty sure, from scene 165.

Weren't the very beginning of the PCS, scene 1 or/and 2, to take place in a bar in Istanbul?
Any guesses about the scene number where Bond says "some men are coming to kill us"? His suit confuses me.

Have to say what an absolute awesome trailor! :-bd The look, feel, and tone of that absolute treat of a teaser trailor has me well pumped!

Before we had no dialogue spoken, now every bit of that has really raised the bar! And my favourite is from Craig right at the end about killing them before us! SUPERB!!!!!

One of my favorite scenes from the trailer is, when Bond walks into the room and fires off 2 shots. Can some one get a gif of that?

He's the man played by Albert Finney. He's connected to the Skyfall lodge and possibly to Bond's parents somehow.

Oh my goodness, I just geeked out in front of my colleagues! This is just exciting as hell. I love the interrogation, the shooting excercise, the .. the .. the EVERYTHING!

    Rating: AWESOME!!

I got a kind of The Man With The Golden Gun, the novel, during the integration scene, put me in mind of Fleming.

Overall nice job on the trailer, looks stunning. Just done a wikisearch on Deakins, he lensed two of my favorite films True Grit and No Country For Old Men, so it’s looking good…..

  • Its not really an interrogation as such, its more a re-evaluation to ensure Bond is fit for duty after a period of being away.

The sequence was planned such that Bond falling deeper and deeper into the water would lead to a fade, and then the title sequence. However, I guess that could change once they start editing it all properly and making those kind of choices.

On a different note going on what we have now seen? I think this will go big at the box office! May well pass Casino Royale's Box office record for Bond!

Well this truly looks like something we have never seem before. A mix of so many styles. Is it just me or does this look like the most powerful, well put-together Bond film of all time.

The pounding music echoed through every part of my body as beautiful, extremely dramatic scenes took over me.

The best way to explain the trailer: strikingly powerful.

I don't wish to sound a negative note, as I loved the trailer and think this is going to be a great film, but its worth baring in mind that the art of the trailer HAS been perfected to a far greater degree than the art of film-making has!: these people can make a cr*p film look great in a trailer. Other than some snatches of dialogue and the quality of the cinematography, I don't think a trailer like this really tells you how good or bad the film will ultimately be.

For sure. But the cinematography is blantant in any trailer. They can´t fix that. Some compositions in this trailer look amazing. The shot of the coffins and the dragons spring to mind.

Anyone else got an "inception" kinda feeling with this? I mean, the music, the said cinematography, ... All good in my book mind you.

  • I've watched it online a few times as I've been in the office all day, I'm looking forward to getting home and watching it on a much bigger screen with the home cinema cranked up.

The thumping music kind of reminds me of the Prometheus trailer?

I love the trailer, the music is great and dramatic even though I was sort of hoping for the Bond theme.

Could be, then again it might not be. But I can't wait to find out.
