This might be going too far, but it certainly hasn't really whetted my appetite. I remain hopeful, but this looks dour and has far too many glimpses of Dench. Considering it's a minute long and has 3-4 shots or mentions of M, I am worried.
So you think they've given Dench a non-speaking role in this one? I don't really care about the trailer, but I do care what happens in the film and on the basis of this it's going to be a Dench-fest, like TWINE. I know I'm not going to be the only one complaining in October if that's how it turns out.
For the love of Dench, why bring Bourne into it? Did you not get enough attention from Mummy? Stoooooooooooooooop it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The names Bond, James Bond here.
The Olympics are around the corner please please reference all Bourne falling into water scenes here, jeeeessssssuz!!!!!!

Would be greatly appreciative...:-)
just booking my appointment with the head doctor. must be going mad but could have sworn i spotted a shot exactly the same as the iconic opening and close of the bourne trilogy in that trailer. probably should have let it pass without a mention.
That's the opposite of my reaction since he seemed pretty sullen when he said that last line. My immediate thought was "Bond. As bright and chipper as ever.: LOL. But that's how Craig plays the character. It's ultra serious. I can accept that.
Same here. I am hoping that it will be a cracker but right now it isn't screaming Bond at me. Generic stock footage-style night time helicopter shots of Asian cities induce yawns I am afraid.
The delivery of that line definitely sounds different. He does seem a bit less tense here.
Besides I don't agree with the "a trailer should show the best parts of the movie" school of thought. Like you said, a trailer should "wet your appetite." That also means leaving some of the best clips and scenes out of the trailer, so you don't spoil too much for yourself.
Same thought here. Quite jovial for Craig's Bond!
Also, I think this is some of the best cinematography the series has ever seen. This and Majesty; tip top.
Have you seen Thunderball?
Yep and pretty sure that shot aint in it.
How do you know it wont have humour/ It probably wont have doubletaking pigeons but the Craig films wont do that.
You dont know yet. Wait and see the film.
And nor should they.
We know its Judis last one, of course they are going to make use of her.
Err, this is a thread about the trailer, therefore I think he has made a fair observation.
Desmond's last appearance was short and sweet...
Er, dear Getafix.
We are not going back to the Moore/Dalton/Connery era. This is a new era completely different. Not better. Not worse. Just different.
Give it a try.
