I too got 118/119 the other day. No letter with it, though. Don't like the sound of "go to 140". I'd rather hear "will absolutely, definitely stop at 140 and feel free to sue us if it doesn't". When the series was launched it stated on their website that it would finish with issue 45. (Or thereabouts - it's hard to remember that far back!) So I take anything they say with a pinch of salt the size of a sand dune.

That's pretty interesting samuel, Surely they will have to let people know who don't get there issues by subscription about them going back to an issue every 2 weeks instead of 4 weeks?

As far as I know, the collection went back to an issue every 2 weeks instead of 4 weeks some time ago. Subscribers did actually receive a letter about this too.

That is bizarre? As i get mine through a local newsagent. Will see what happens with the next issue in a couple of weeks? Thank you though for sharing the info though.

No worries. And going by the list the final issue is in April, not March. Slight error on my part.

I hope with all my heart it is not continued yet again. Let's face it, there are not enough cars to go to 2014, if another film comes out then, so it will have to end.

My other list of how many cars we've had from each film:

    1. 7
    2. 5
    3. 11
    4. 7
    5. 2 (Gift 1)
    6. 6
    7. 5
    8. 8
    9. 4
    10. 5
    11. 5
    12. 7
    13. 9
    14. 5 (Gift 2)
    15. 8
    16. 3
    17. 5 (Gift 3)
    18. 3
    19. 5
    20. 7
    21. 7
    22. 9
    23. 2

Not for me: I still receive one per month, through my reseller (http://www.gr8models.co.uk).

I get two issues every two months. That's been the case for a while now.

Look at how under-represented LTK is on that list. =cough=Kenworth=cough=
  • they have been issued at one a month here in uk, for the last 18 issues.....it has been different in other countries because of the series start date......it will be great if they do go up to 2 amonth..............and hopefully a couple more specials!!!!!

    Bought yesterday number 110.

Over 18 weeks we are where the Uk be now at number 119, then the uk is at 127. So over 24 weeks there are finishied in the uk. 16 weeks later we are finished. Means 40 weeks to go in my country and the series end when Skyfall get his dvd release.

If there go to 140 then at the time The Netherlands have release 130 (March 2013) the uk is at 138. Another 4 weeks later (April) the uk get number 140 and because it it stil around the release date of Skyfall on dvd mabey we should expect 138-140 be Skyfall cars. 20 weeks later (5 months) in September 2013 The Netherlands finished with 140.

Funny thing be that if there whant release 10 new cars as 141-150 there can take a break from a litle year in the uk before contune and contune from May 2014 til October 2015 and include Bond 24 cars. In the mean time other country's can end the first 140 numbers before starting too with number 141 in May 2014. For The Netherlans it means in that case 8 months wait after September 2013. So if there are smart there at a letter with number 140 the series wil contune 27 May 2014 for example.

Just took a look on Wikipedia by chance and discovered the following on there list?!

Issue 121 Volga M24 from Octopussy ( Gogol's car from train chase.)
    Issue 122 Mercedes-Benz 200D FYEO ( Loque's car at Gonzalez house.)
Issue 123 Plymouth Savoy FRWL ( Istanbul Taxi )

Do we have any pictures out there somewhere folks?

Incase nobody has received there copy of 120? I have received mine today.

It's in a larger case like the Lincoln Continental from 119. The car is through the cliffside wall with brickwork either end of the car. Roger Moore is on the backdrop picture behind, but sadly no Loque model cowering in the car, and the first time the title of the movie is not on the back of the case. Just the 007 logo on this model. Overall though a nice addition to the series.

I have asked for this car since the beginning of the collection. Glad to know that, apart from the missing Locque, I won't be disappointed. However, I will have to move my cars from t OP's Range Rover onwards one notch. I can't put more than one big case along with three small case. So, one of the shelves in my second display case will have to hold only three cars (Locque's Merc, the Range Rover and the Acrostar)

It took a while but I'm glad this car has finally been included.

I just realised that i had no letter suggesting that the collection will be going back to every 2 weeks? So i am assuming that here in the UK? It will remain as a 4 week publication?

I'll be receiving mine every two weeks and I'm in the UK. I'd assume it will be the same for you @RogueAgent.

Thats really odd Samuel? Are you on a subscription? As i go through my local newsagent? May have to enquire on how the process works?

Perhaps thats why? But will chase it up? Did it say in your letter when the 2 week deliveries begin?

Instead of one issue every two weeks, I receive two issues every month (delivered at the same time). Issues 120 and 121 should arrive at the end of this month for me.

Cheers samuel, going on what you have said? I get the feeling i may receive a letter in issue 121? Else i would fall behind which considering we are both in the UK would be a little odd?
  • there is no letter or note in issue 120 informing of a move to 2 x weeks .......i contacted the distributor ( wh smiths) here in uk and was told the next issue 121 is due for release on 11th july............it's all so secretive isn't it?

Off topic, but I thought this would be of interest to any part-work subscribers here. I've just found out about this:

They should do Bruce Lee cars too :

Big Boss red worn down bus fea ice house diorama (figs of Bruce and some Thai thugs)
Fist of Fury black 30s Mercedes , movie set street background (fea Suzuki , Japanese translator figs)
Way of Dragon '72 red Mercedes (fea boss Jon Benn fig)
Fist of Fury rickshaw fea Bruce and translator figs (not a car but who cares lol)
  • Damn, As a Star Trek fan this would be cool, Chevron. I have most of the ships however in other forms (notably the Johnny Lightning Series, which while reproducing many of the same ships with different markings nevertheless had good models, better than Hot Wheels).

Well, I've subscribed already so while the James Bond collection is winding down I'll have a new collection starting up.

Wait. The James Bond collection isn't winding down, is it? Oh, ok. So I'll have two collections on the go.

(I think the Star Trek one is just a local trial at the moment. Hopefully it will do well enough to go nationwide eventually.)

Got the Merc today. A real beauty. It took a while, but it was worth it.

Except, of course, for the absence of Locque's at the wheel. But I guess we can't win tham all.
  • At least we got a diorama and a "likeness" of bond, which has been sadly missing for a while..........the damage to this model is very well done i think, as gerard above says....well worth waiting for
