  Somebody parked a 911 carrera 4 in front of our house this afternoon, and according to my wife there was an expensive looking Nissan sportscar there as well. I cme home too late to see that one. The big question now is: who in this street knows anyone who drives a 911... :-D

  This is how the Volkswagen Beetle would have looked like if they had evolved it towards a 2+2.

  I like all TT's, but the first generation will always be the coolest. ;-)

  I had one of those, cracking car. I did get it remapped by a guy who specialises in them and it made it fly very nicely: it started to make a fun induction noise when you put your foot down at high speeds too.
  The chassis wasn't great (it didn't love the corners when I took it to Brands Hatch!) and the steering was always a bit wooly so you couldn't say it offered the best sportscar experience, but it's a great useable day to day car that goes nice and quick and with a big boot.

  The first TT wasn't really a sporty car but looked amazing.
  The second generation ones were a much better drive around Brands i've read.
  
  I love Brands Hatch,great track. They should have the F1 gp race there like they used to .
  
  That must have been fun to drive on especially that first corner drop ?

  Oh yes it's always huge fun. Once I did one of those trackdays there in an Aston, and funnily enough because of the way they make you short shift and all that, I actually went around much quicker in my TT despite it being about 100bhp down!

  It was a V8 Vantage, it was lovely to drive. The first is probably the scariest yeah as you've built up the speed from the straight and it curves down out of sight. It's rather fun though! :)

  I did California Superbike School at Brands and learned a lot. Can confirm the first corner is scary! I still have the 'Noise test passed' sticker on my windscreen; I get a few double takes when people see it on a big lardy scooter :)

  Wow check this out; quite an extraordinary thing. Apparenlty the Vantage model can drive up to 40 miles on a charge and travel at over 30mph, and it's even got a working handbrake for slidey fun! But it looks absolutely stunning:
