The whole "if you just google it, it tells you... err.. besides our sources." /:)
I hope to god it's not Bubbles.
If this is true it seems a shame and a huge missed opportunity IMO.
Then Craig raised an eyebrow and added: "How about Adele?"
Not sure whether Broccoli is waiting nearer to the release date to make the big reveal or whether Craig knows something we don't and is giving a hint. Of course it could be Craig just making a suggestion. Who knows at this point? It seems daft that the producers don't have an idea who is singing the song when it plays such an integral part in the promotion and merchandising of the movie. Then again, Barbara Broccoli has never been musically minded judging by her past choices.
One thing is for sure, you never get a straight answer out of the Broccolis.
There's a straight answer for you.
I can see this happening but not a has-been, or atleast a real has been who hasn't been in the spotlight for years. If Adele was a sure thing, or even almost a sure thing, I'm not sure if Craig would have made the remark that he did. Unless of course Eon hasn't let him in on any of this. I hope Adele does it though.
The question should be 'Is Britney Spears never gonna sing live or without any pitch enhancing software?'
Slyfox is right. I remember Craig saying something about how it would be great if the movie could get Bardem involved when rumours were flying around about him being a potential villain......now, we have his "suggestion" of Adele.
Its a big year for Britain, it only makes sense to capitalise on securing not only the biggest British pop act but one of the best and popular music artists today in Adele.
I like your logic. It does sound like Broccoli is not only listening to Craig's advice but allowing him the freedom to act upon it. Wasn't it Craig that actually made the phone call to Bardem asking him would he be interested in Bond 23?
If Craig and Mendes want to get back to the "classic Bond" feel then they need to incorporate the title song into the overall score just like the very best Bond's used to do. That's why I hope Adele has started on the song early giving Newman the chance to blend it into the final soundtrack.
Yes, I think he asked both Mendes and Bardem at two parties he attended. I expect there to be a great deal of other behind the scenes activity we never hear, as well. DC has a very hands-on approach to the role and it sounds like he had to work his gut to even get the QOS script to the (poor) standard it ended up at (due to the script strikes), and it's refreshing to see how much he cares about the finished product and isn't just turning up to do his lines and collect a paycheck.
Yes, I agree with this incorporation. It sounds like things are probably being discussed behind closed doors so i'd like to think they are hopefully doing exactly what you say.
Yes, see a few posts back. Awesome. But we know who's going to do it anyway. Better luck next time.
With his voice regarded as one of the best in rock, Cornell’s track You Know My Name was the theme song for the 2006 Bond film Casino Royale.
And the American singer – speaking to MTV News in his dressing room at Download Festival – hopes Adele follows in his footsteps.
“Adele would be the perfect choice – I can’t think of a better one,” said the star, who also fronted Audioslave before the band’s split in 2007.
Cornell continued: “She’s phenomenal and it’s nice, in a day and age where so many vocals are fixed by computers, that the biggest album of last year was somebody who sings for real.
“I would hate to see music become more mechanistic and less human, so her success has been great.”

I wouldn't be surprised, to be honest, if the day he gets out from the role he gets in as a producer!
Just like Bond will only drink Heineken from here on out, forever, until the end of the Bond series, all because of an article being taken out of context.
